My daughter, Malia, spent last Christmas with us, and helped me with my calendars. Here’s a page she created:
Those jars are just adorable! Our family loves to fish- everyone except Malia, that is. She says she loves fishing, but just hates to catch them. Feels sorry for the little things. Me. I grew up trout fishing in California with my dad. I could spend all day looking for the perfect fishing hole & be so happy! My husband loves deep sea fishing in Hawaii. He actually was lost at sea about 24 years ago when his boat capsized & was miraculously rescued the next morning!
Now hop on over to see what Crystal & Anne came up with for April.
Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration team will all be CASING a Team Member. CASE means Copy and Share Everything. As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator I feel flattered when someone CASES something I’ve made. CASING can be doing exactly the same thing, or copying the design or the colors. It can really give you a head start when you’re trying to come up with a new idea.
Here’s what I’m CASING:
I loved the layout of Darla’s card and decided to CASE it using Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper. I got this pack of paper FREE by spending $50 during Sale-A-Bration. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY of this great promotion! So if you’ve been thinking about placing an order, don’t wait until tomorrow!
Isn’t this a fun layout?!! Change the Designer Series Paper & get a totally different look!
And here’s a close up of this shiny paper. All supplies listed at the bottom of this post.
Be sure & head over to the SSINK SITE to see what the others have CASED!
I’ve been having fun with purple lately, so I thought it would be fun to play along with The Card Concept 70 (Purple Haze). I pulled out a new Embossing Folder called Celebrations Duo, that can be found in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog. It comes with 2 words to emboss: Celebrate and Happy. This one makes a deep impression so I found a set to “color” over the top of the word: Painter’s Palette.
What a simple & fun card! Used all my purples: Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, & Rich Razzleberry. It needed a little something, so I added some White Perfect Accents.
Purple was my favorite color growing up & I still love it! My parents let me paint my room purple & I had a purple bedspread & curtains.
This week the Global Design Project is CASING Louise Sharp. I love participating in their challenges because they have great sketches and help me with a beginning idea. Here’s what I came up with for this sketch:
What a beautiful image that is! And I love the verse that goes with it. I used the Banner Framelits in place of Louise’s tag. And I have this set on loan from my friend, Marylou, and wanted to play with it more before returning it. I think I just may need to get one of my own! The pretty Designer Series Paper is Blooms & Bliss I used watercolor pencils & an aquapainter to color the image. Here’s a closer look so you can see the sparkle from Wink of Stella:
To make this card, just check my supply list at the bottom of this post. Now, be sure to check out what other stampers have come up with for this sketch at the Global Design Project!

This week the Global Design Project Theme is Amusement Park. There’s nothing that says Amusement Park more than the Carousel! I remember dashing to get on the ride & choosing the prettiest horse to ride on! Then waving to my people & feeling like a princess!
I couldn’t find a carousel picture, but here’s a couple of photos of Disneyworld with the girls…fun!!!
If I thought of it sooner, I would have done a teacup card!! Malia! How many times did you make Mom go on those teacups?!! I’m dizzy just looking at it!
