ICS Blog Hop Carried Away With Banners!

Today is the first Wednesday of the month, which means it’s time for the Inspire, Create Share Blog Hop!  I’m so excited to be part of this talented team!

We wanted to share some love with you this month so our theme is Happy Valentine’s Day!  We’ve just had our kitchen remodeled and I wanted to make a banner to hang up there…here it is:

Isn’t that fun?!!  I used the Banner Thinlits and the Carried Away Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration (FREE with any $50 order!).  If you look closely you’ll see some goodies from Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit (tassles, bow, ribbon).

My Big Shot finally kicked the bucket while I was making this project!  It has served me well for many years & been used & abused!  It has been groaning & making noises for a few weeks & actually spit some things across the room!  May it Rest In Peace!  I can’t get myself to throw it out yet.  I have to admit though, Sale-A-Bration is the best time for this to happen!  2 more FREE SALE-A-BRATION items!

Thanks for joining us this month and feel free to leave us some love in the form of comments!

Now hop on over to Terry’s blog and see what she has to share this month.

Here’s the same project, but a little different:

Can’t wait to see what other 3-D ideas the SSINK Team has come up with!

Bloomin’ Love for February

February is here!  It’s a great month for making Valentine cards & gifts.  This pretty stamp set is called Bloomin’ Love & the colors are Blushing Bride & Real Red.

Spread the love around this month by sending cards to your friends!  That’s one of my big goals this year…SEND MORE CARDS!  It’s always a happy surprise to open my mailbox & find a card there!

Now hop on over to see what Crystal & Anne have for their February calendars!

Announcing: Cards, Etc. Classes!

I LOVE making cards!  Everyone who knows me knows me knows that my favorite place is my craft room (AKA:  Creation Station).  I usually make cards, and when I’m done coming up with something new, there tends to be an explosion of paper, ribbon, & embellishments.

What I enjoy making even more is something 3-D!  Boxes & bags are so much fun to make & to give away!  So, this year in place of my monthly card classes, I’ll offer Cards, Etc. Classes!  Starting this weekend!  We’ll be making 3 cards with matching envelopes, plus a 3-D item!

Here’s my 3-D for January:

I’m hoping everyone will love making these!  Simple to make!  Fun to give!

January Cards, Etc. Classes will be Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2pm or Monday, Jan 30 at 10am.  Cost is $10 or FREE with your $20 order placed that day.

RSVP soon to hold your spot in class!

Maui Big Shots! Swaps

Had a fun Team Meeting today and I wanted to show off our swaps!

I had fun giving out a few gifts today…  Everyone on my team received an engraved Bone Folder!  They’re so cute…made by Tamra Davis (find her on Facebook).

I also celebrated a surprise $700 BONUS I received from Stampin’ Up!  I didn’t see this coming!  This was for having 5 Qualified Recruits!!  They each got these cute little mailboxes.

I’m so grateful to my wonderful team!  Thank you so much for your enthusiasm & support & friendship!

If you’d like to join my team, now is the time!  Spend just $99 and you’ll get $125 worth of product PLUS 2 FREE STAMP SETS!  Choose whichever sets you’d like!  We’d love to have you join us!  Offer good through March 31st.

Plus, you’ll receive a custom made Maui Big Shots! Bone Folder!  I’m sure you won’t want to miss out on that!!

Have a great weekend!

Favorite Embellishments!

I was so excited when I saw the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog!  I ordered it right away, but wasn’t sure what to do with it!

Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration team is featuring Friday Favorites:  Occasions Accessories!  I pulled out my Embellishment Kit & this is what I came up with:

I just love it!!  The tassels!!  The little bows!!

Here’s the ingredients:

  • Baker’s Box Thinlits Dies
  • Craft Paper
  • Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack
  • Carousel Birthday Stamp Set
  • Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit
  • Layering Ovals Framelits Dies
  • Calypso Coral Marker
  • Sprinkles Embellishments

Don’t forget…it’s Sale-A-Bration Time!!  Woohoo!  Get something FREE with every $50 you spend!

The Baker’s Box is the perfect size for a stack of cookies or a cupcake or handful of chocolate (my favorite!)

I just love this sentiment & think I’ll use it a lot!  It’s meant to be used on the inside of a card, I think, because it actually starts with the word “because”.  First I inked up my stamp & tried to erase it using a blender pen.  I still saw a shadow when I stamped it, so I had better luck just inking the stamp using my marker.

Hope you are inspired to get some of those Embellishments!  They’re so much fun to work with!

Be sure and check out what the other gals on the SSINK Design Team have created!  You’re sure to get some great ideas!!

Calendar Winner(s)!

On New Years Day I posted about my 2017 Calendars.  Just for fun, I decided to have a calendar give-away to someone who commented on my blog that day!  Well, I had 5 comments- and I have 5 calendars- so you’re ALL GETTING A 2017 CALENDAR!  Yay!

Congratulations to Linda, Annette, Nadine, Dina, & Ramona!

I always appreciate comments!  Keep ’em coming!

I’ll email each of you to find out how to get your calendars to you.  Thanks again!

Club Christmas Party 2016

I have the most fun & creative friends that come over & stamp (& eat!) with me each month.  Here’s some pictures from our Christmas Party.  We look forward to the gift exchange all year!

If you’d like to join club, now is the time!!  We meet once a month at my place in Haiku, Maui, and make different projects.  You commit to spending just $25/month and you get to be hostess when your month comes around- which means free stuff!!  Let me know if you’d like to join!  You can quit whenever you want… no obligation if your life gets too busy.  You can also just give it a try!  Just place a $25 order that day.

Here’s some cards from our Ugly Sweater Card Contest.  Debby is the winner of $30 in SU Products!  Her card is on the left.  Congratulations, Debby!

Welcome 2017!

I’m one of those people who enjoy reflecting & setting goals this time of year.  I’ll remember 2016 mostly for Jenny & Vitalis’ wedding and for our home remodeling.  Here’s a few pictures:

And I’m looking forward to good things happening in 2017! (like the remodeling being done!)

I still have a few calendars for sale!  $15 each (includes plastic case).

Just for fun…leave me a comment on the bottom of this post & I’ll randomly select one lucky person to receive a FREE 2017 CALENDAR from me!

Be sure & hop on over to see what Anne & Crystal have done for their January calendars!

Project Life!

I’m excited to show you two ideas for Project Life!  Please bear with me because it’s difficult to capture these pages in photos.  Trust me!  They’re really fun, cute, & super quick to put together!!

The first is to give a Project Life Kit as a Christmas Gift to someone who might enjoy using it to collect their memories!  Last night I started a kit for my nephew, Abe.  He’s really into making cards using My Paper Pumpkin, and I think he’ll love Project Life!

Some of you will remember… Abe & I were featured in Stampin’ Success Magazine this past October.  I printed off the article for the adjacent page.

Abe has been in Special Olympics for many, many years & even went to Greece to participate!  He was King at his Senior Prom.  He’s been on a real billboard.  He’s been on the news for his Random Acts of Kindness that he does every year on his birthday.  Basically, Abe’s AMAZING!

I’ll just mail Abe the album with some extra insert sheets, the Project Life Card Kit, some Project Life pens & some Washi Tape.  He can do the rest!

The next thing I want to show you is what I’m putting together for my daughter, Jenny, who was married October 29th.  She was lucky to have 2 showers:  one in Texas, where she’s living and one on Maui, where she grew up.  Both showers had a tea party theme and I asked people to bring their favorite recipes.  So her Project Life Album will be a very special Recipe Book!

I used the front page for the invitation.  This paper and tea kettle is now retired (unfortunately!) but I wanted to show you.

Here you can see how I put the recipe from her high school friend, Debbie next to their picture.  I used a cake photo from the shower & stamp set & thinlits.  The background papers are from the Love Story Project Life Kit.  There’s also Washi Tape on there.  Fun to put together & very simple.  In fact, I think it looks a little better if you don’t embellish too much, or it will look “busy”.

Here you can see where I used one of the cards she received (the umbrella).  The possibilities are endless!

Hope you’re inspired to purchase a kit!  Now go check out what the other Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team has put together for Project Life!
