Today I have an unusual combo that I think works well together:
Stay tuned each Sunday for more Color Combo ideas! Hope you’re having a great weekend!
It’s actually difficult to come up with a simple card! I tend to keep adding embellishments & layers. But today the Stylin’ Stampin’ Gals are posting “Simple Cards”.
This type of card is really simple but the effect is so nice! I call it a Negative Image Card.
I found the idea for this card from Mary Fish, who’s about to reach $1,000,000 in sales! Can you imagine?!!
Here’s a couple more cards I made using the same design. Which one do you like the best?
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure & go over to the SSINK page to see their ideas for “Simple Cards”!
Had so much fun at my card class today & we got creative changing a Wetlands Card into a Baby Card. I’m entering this in the SUO Challenge #146 where the theme is “Showers”.
Here’s the original:
and here’s the baby card version:
Isn’t that sweet? See the sparkles from the shimmer paper? The stamp set is Made With Love.
Thanks everyone who came to class today! Lots of fun!! I have one more Card Class this Tuesday at 3 pm and I have room for more! Hope you can join us!
Happy Easter! Hope you’re having a wonderful day with friends & family. Ours won’t be too exciting because the girls are on the mainland & we miss them…but we’ll make the most of it! Pat & I are blessed to have Mom living next door in our cottage, so we’ll have a nice dinner after church.
Wanted to show you my Easter Card:
Here’s a close up of the embossing:
I had a few leftover cards prepped & here’s what I made:
I thought this turned out cute! Used the stamp set Big News and Baby’s First Framelits.
I had fun with this one! And everyone needs birthday cards! #imbringingbirthdaysback
Happy Birthday from the hostess set, Happy Birthday, Everyone, is the perfect size! Then I punched out balloons using Party Punch Pack and some silver thread, bound together with the bow from Square Pillow Box Framelits.
Almost the same…just using scraps I found on my desk. This flower was from Flower Fair Framelits.
Isn’t it gorgeous?! I can see that Wink of Stella on the flowers…pretty!!
May the promise of Easter fill you with renewed faith, hope, & joy.
Have a blessed Easter!
Love this little bear!! Here I’ve paired it with Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper, using some fun, bright colors.
Sale-a-Bration is still going strong! You can get the set, Botanicals for You FREE with your $50 order!
Here’s another card I made when playing around…
I pulled out all the stops on this one & just LOVE IT! I think mainly because of the colors: Mint Macaron & Blushing Bride.
And that gorgeous flower is new from the Occasions Catalog, Stampin’ Up! I’ll list all the ingredients here:

Yesterday I attended a Baby Shower for Crystal, who’s having twins! The shower had a Zoo Baby Theme, so I decided to try my hand at making a “Spinner Card”.The idea is to tilt the card from side to side, and the monkeys roll around.
The monkeys each have 2 pennies behind them, separated by a dimensional. They’re stuck into a small cutout made with the Word Window Punch.
To tell you the truth, the monkey’s kind of get jammed together. I’m sure that’s how Crystal’s feeling about now! Hang in there, Crystal!!
