Quick & Easy Card for SSINK Design Team

It’s actually difficult to come up with a simple card!  I tend to keep adding embellishments & layers.  But today the Stylin’ Stampin’ Gals are posting “Simple Cards”.

This type of card is really simple but the effect is so nice!  I call it a Negative Image Card.

I found the idea for this card from Mary Fish, who’s about to reach $1,000,000 in sales!  Can you imagine?!!

Card Details:

  • Stamps:  Made With Love
  • Ink:  Early Espresso
  • Paper:  Mint Macaron Card Base (5 1/2 X 11, scored at 4 1/4), Presents & Pinecones DSP (5 1/4 X 4), Mint Macaron (3 X 4), Cherry Cobbler scrap
  • Accessories:  Babies First Framelits Dies, Balloon Framelits Dies, Baker’s Twine

Here’s a couple more cards I made using the same design.  Which one do you like the best?

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure & go over to the SSINK page to see their ideas for “Simple Cards”!

Have a Blessed Easter!

Happy Easter!  Hope you’re having a wonderful day with friends & family.  Ours won’t be too exciting because the girls are on the mainland & we miss them…but we’ll make the most of it!  Pat & I are blessed to have Mom living next door in our cottage, so we’ll have a nice dinner after church.

Wanted to show you my Easter Card:

Here’s a close up of the embossing:

I had a few leftover cards prepped & here’s what I made:

Create with Cheryl Big News

I thought this turned out cute!  Used the stamp set Big News and Baby’s First Framelits.

Create with Cheryl Happy Birthday

I had fun with this one!  And everyone needs birthday cards!  #imbringingbirthdaysback

Happy Birthday from the hostess set, Happy Birthday, Everyone, is the perfect size!  Then I punched out balloons using Party Punch Pack and some silver thread, bound together with the bow from Square Pillow Box Framelits.

Almost the same…just using scraps I found on my desk.  This flower was from Flower Fair Framelits.

One last card to share.  I received this beautiful card from one of my downline, Louella. Create with Cheryl Louella's card

Isn’t it gorgeous?!  I can see that Wink of Stella on the flowers…pretty!!

May the promise of Easter fill you with renewed faith, hope, & joy.

Have a blessed Easter!

Spinning Monkeys

Yesterday I attended a Baby Shower for Crystal, who’s having twins!  The shower had a Zoo Baby Theme, so I decided to try my hand at making a “Spinner Card”.Createwithcheryl Monkey SliderThe idea is to tilt the card from side to side, and the monkeys roll around.Createwithcheryl Monkey Slider 2Createwithcheryl Monkey Slider 3

The monkeys each have 2 pennies behind them, separated by a dimensional.  They’re stuck into a small cutout made with the Word Window Punch.

You can find the directions here at Split Coast Stampers.

To tell you the truth,  the monkey’s kind of get jammed together.  I’m sure that’s how Crystal’s feeling about now!  Hang in there, Crystal!!
