Pop Up Bouquet for Kre8tors Color Challenge 001

Image may contain: text

Welcome to the Kre8tors Blog Hop for April where today we have a Color Challenge!  #KRE8TORS001

Image may contain: flower and text

Wow!  I was so inspired by this beautiful bouquet that I’ve created one of my own.  But mine can be flattened and sent through the mail!

If you’ve followed my blog for long, you know how I love the Card in a Box!  This is similar, but starts with the Window Box Thinlits.  I played around with this most of the afternoon, trying to figure out how it could fit into an envelope.  I finally found this great video from Mitosu Crafts, explaining how to do this!  I was inspired to make this from Marieke Bart’s gorgeous Pop Up bouquet.

Here it is folded flat.  But I can’t bear to part with it!  Ha!  Are any of you like that when you make a favorite card?

I know I’ll have some requests for a class.  Maybe in May.  April showers bring May flowers!  Let me know if you’d be interested.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I’d love to hear your comments!

Make sure you continue on the Kre8tors Blog Hop to see more colorful creations!

Welcome to the Easter Themed Blog Tour of some RemARKably Creative Stampers!  Today I’m excited to share a View Master Card with you!  Blast from the past!  Remember when you were little – scrolling through pictures on your View Master?

View Master Classic

My family used to go to this restaurant in Fresno after church once a month where I would happily browse through all the pictures on their View Master.  Animals, exotic places, movie stars…

So when I noticed the Stamp Set A Good Day, the cute little pictures made me think of a View Master.

The artist easel is from Painter’s Palette.  That’s been stuck away in my closet for too long!  Such a cute set!

Here’s another Shaker Card.  Which one do you like best?  I like the candle one, except that you have to “fussy cut” it.  I don’t have a lot of patience for that.

I would love if you could take the time to vote for my card at Kylie Bertucci’s host page for this blog highlight.  The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project (#6)!   To vote, click on the button below, go to the gallery, then hover over the picture of the card until the little heart turns red.  You can vote by clicking on the icon below:

Today’s blog hop is all about animals!  My Bella & Friends stamp set has gotten a lot of use, but I haven’t used Pretty Kitty until today.  Here I go…

Stamped the kitty on Shimmer Paper using Memento Ink and then colored it in using Stampin’ Markers.  I chose the colors based on this weeks challenge from Global Design Project #GDP125.

Don’t you just love that “amazing” cutout?!  You can get Celebrate You Thinlits FREE with any $100 order now until the end of March during Sale-a-Bration.

Winter Blues with Petal Palette

Here’s a card that’s sure to cure your Winter Blues!

I just loved the way this turned out!  The paper is Petal Passion DSP that has been colored using my Stampin’ Blends.  There’s really no right or wrong way to use the Blends- just experiment!

This card is a Fun Fold called a Gate Card.  Very simple to make.  Give it a try!  For the card base, start with cardstock cut at 4 1/4 X 11 and score each end at 2 3/4″.  Then fold each side in towards the middle.

Take a look at the back of the paper after I colored it!  I almost like this as much as the front!!  What do you think?

Gave this card to my sweet husband for Valentine’s Day.  He’s been in the hospital in Arizona for 2 weeks- came back to Maui & had 1 nice day at home then had to go back to Maui Memorial ICU with more complications.  Hopefully he’ll be coming home today!

Thank you to everyone for your kindness and prayers during this difficult time.  My stampin’ friends are so wonderful- love you all!!  I’ve had people help prep my classes for me, mow my lawn, bring food, & loads of people praying & encouraging us.  We are truly blessed!

Don’t miss more Winter Blues Cards at the SSINK Design Team Page!

The star of my blog post today is this charming little bird from Bird Banter!  The birds in this set all have different personalities.  Just love them!  Found the idea for this card on Pinterest, made by Carolynn Saunder.  And this was perfect for my Stampin’ Blends class!  We had fun coloring those birds.

RemARKable Ink Big Blog Hop Bloomin’ Love

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for January 2018. This month our theme is Valentines!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Cheryl Hamilton- Create With Cheryl or may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Valentine`s Day is the second most popular day of the year for sending cards, second only to Christmas. There are approximately 1 billion Valentine`s Day cards exchanged every year in the U.S. alone.  I prefer handmade cards where you can see all the love that’s put into making them.

For my valentines, I’ve made a little bag.  Fill it with candy or make a little pull-out note like shown above.

Love this bright, fun paper that’s a FREE SALE-A-BRATON ITEM.  For every $50 you spend choose a FREE Sale-a-Bration item!  CLICK HERE to browse the catalog.

Decided to give candy to my team at our meeting yesterday instead of a note.  They already know I love them!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently, you are on my blog – Cheryl Hamilton @ Create With Cheryl, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next on the list.

#SSINK Doilies & Lace

Good morning!  I love Fridays because the weekend is almost here.  This weekend I look forward to New Years and plan to spend lots of time decorating my beautiful Love Today Planner Kit!  Washi Tape, colored pens, and brainstorming about my goals for 2018!  You can order one HERE & get yourself organized with this inspiring journal!

Today I’m showing you a card using doilies & lace!  It’s fun to browse around Pinterest looking for ideas for Vintage cards, but I’m not sure this qualifies as “Vintage” with these bright colors.   What do you think?

I LOVE the colors in this card!  Lemon Lime Twist & Pool Party.  And the more I use the Quilted Christmas Bundle, the more I like it!!  The Designer Series Paper is Painted Autumn.  I colored the Rhinestone using Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.

Below are easy ordering links for the products used on today’s card:

ICS Blog Hop – Join The Fold Beautiful You

Welcome to a special Inspire, Create, and Share blog hop! We recently attended On Stage in Salt Lake City with 2,700 demonstrators to see new products, hear training, and connect with friends. Our team met for dinner and to swap cards designed with fancy folds. Meeting together is the best and of course we want to share the fancy fold card designs with you!

The front of my card starts with this Beautiful You girl.  Beautiful You combined with Eastern Elegance.  Wait till you see when you open it up!!

Isn’t that cool?!!  I’m calling it a Pop Up Book Card.  I found a similar one on Pinterest, but had to convert it to fit into a standard sized envelope.

I’m not sure how to explain the fold, but here’s a diagram that I’ll be using when I make it again.

Does that help at all?  With some encouragement, I might try to make a video (my first!)  of this fun fold!  That’s something I want to challenge myself to do. But I am a bit technically challenged, as you may have noticed!  I had to laugh when I returned from On Stage & looked at my blog posts that I’d made on my IPad.  The pictures are sideways & upside down!!  Oh, brother!

Being a demonstrator means you meet people from all over the world, get to travel for events, we get the first peek at new products. Only demonstrators get the opportunity to attend Stampin’ Up! events to see the new catalog in hand, use the products, and the perk of bringing home new stamp sets, projects, and sometimes more! You can join one of our teams and receive all of these demonstrator perks. You select your starter kit, it is $125 in product but you only pay $99 and includes free shipping. Just ask your demonstrator where to get started to sign up OR if that is me CLICK HERE!

Be sure and continue on this blog hop!  Next up is Audra Monk, who I met at Salt Lake!  She’s so sweet and has a wonderful blog!  You won’t want to miss any of these very creative folds!  And please leave us a few comments!!
