It might be cold & wet where you are, but February is actually a wonderful month!
Reasons to love February:
Valentine’s Day! Love.
Super Bowl Sunday!
Whale season. Maui, I know. Come visit!
Chocolates. You just might get some. You really should give some.
The start of Lent. Strive to be better, more giving, less complaining.
Back to my calendar. This pretty heart is from Sure Do Love You, in the Occasions Catalog, & it just happens to have a set of framelits that bundle with it!
See the way the sentiment is darker on the outside? That’s called the “kissing technique”. Very appropriate for February, don’t you think?! It’s very simple to do. Just stamp the image in Melon Mambo then roll the edge of the stamp in a darker color (I used Berry Burst).
Tell me what you LOVE about February!! Come on! I know you can find something…
Time to check out Crystal & Anne’s calendars for February. Here’s a photo of the three of us, surrounding some special guests:
From the left: Crystal, Sterling, Shelli, Anne, & me
Did you notice this cute saying in Barnyard Babies?!! This is perfect for where I live in Upcountry Maui! I’m surrounded by cows, goats, pigs, horses, & sheep that I say “Hi” to when I go on my morning walks.
I made a Charlie Brown Tree using Totally Trees and found the ornaments & star in the Tin of Tags set.
So, Happy Christmas to everyone!! It’s coming soon. I’m trying to enjoy each moment & not stress!
I think this month’s page is my favorite! I love the way these watercolors made the pretty background- just a stamp on top…& done! I found the idea for this from Michelle Quinno at shellsq.blogspot.com. Thanks, Michelle!
Watercolored using Aquapainter: Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, & Tip Top Taupe
Stamped on top using Early Espresso. Stamp sets are Totally Trees & Endless Thanks.
I have so much to be thankful for! The first thing that comes to mind is how thankful I am for the many dear friends I’ve made through stampin’!
These cute images are from Cookie-Cutter Halloween! Love that set! The holiday season is officially here! I’m determined to stay on top of things this year!! We’ll see what happens.
I have lots of fun classes scheduled in the next few months! You can always see what events I’m having by clicking on CLASSES & EVENTS on the top of my blog. Try to join us at some of the classes this month!
Be sure to head over to Anne & Crystal’s blogs to see their October calendars!
I really love paisleys! This set, Paisleys & Posies, has images that could keep you busy coloring for hours. But I didn’t have “hours”, so I just stamped them in some great colors: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, & Smokey Slate. And the sentiment is there to remind me that I’m blessed. Sometimes I need to be reminded…
Thanks for stopping by! Remember to be thankful & grateful!
Now head over to see what Anne & Crystal have come up with for September!
Seaside Shore has some nice, detailed fish images, along with seaweed & rope. This is my stamp for the August calendar page.
I’ve used a Masking Technique to stamp the bottom fish in Calypso Coral, then cover him with a post-it note that I’ve cut out in that shape. Then I was able to stamp seaweed right over it without messing up the fish. Other colors: Dapper Denim, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky.
Going in a hot air balloon is on my bucket list! Maybe over Napa Valley or Santa Fe. There’s a cute stamp set called Lift Me Up that I’ve found a lot of use for! It comes in a bundle with Up & Away Thinlits Dies!
Have you ever gone up in a balloon? Where did you go? I’m “up” for suggestions! Ha!!
Be sure & check out what Crystal & Anne have created for their May calendar pages!
