This month I’ve decided to use Happy Scenes. And to do a little coloring with my markers (pumpkin pie & wild wasabi). It’s not quite Maui, but we do have pumpkins over here! I do miss October on the mainland. Especially when Pat & I lived in Denver & we’d hike all over through the gorgeous aspen. But, alas, Maui will have to do. 😉
I keep seeing beautiful cards made with this set called Wetlands, and I finally purchased the set. The August calendar page shows an example of about the quickest card you can make!
The background is a stamp from Work of Art stamped in Daffodil Delight & Pool Party.
Then I just stamped the birds over the top with Momento Black Ink. Two minutes tops!
Hello again! Happy July!!
This set is one of my favorites…so simple & fun to use! The flowers are from Wild About Flowers, a stamp set that allows you to easily make pretty images using 2 colors. Two-step stamping.
Stamp Sets: Wild About Flowers & An Open Heart
Colors: Pumpkin Pie & Garden Green
This is my Hawaii version of the Work of Art Stamp Set. I’ve used the “masking technique” to cover up places that I stamp over.
This is one of those Stamp Sets that everyone needs! So many different things you can do with it!!
Colors used: Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede, Pool Party, Island Indigo
For May I’ve chosen my favorite Stamp Set: Sheltering Tree. It’s so versatile & beautiful & comes with little images like this swing, a rake & a bicycle.
Colors used are Early Expresso, Soft Sky, & Lost Lagoon.
I’ve done a little watercoloring for April, using the aquapainter. It’s fun & simple and perfect with this image from the Host Set Best Thoughts!
Colors used are Watermelon Wonder & Mossy Meadow. Look closely & you can see the little white dots made using the White Signo Pen.
The special thing about the Host Sets is that you can only purchase them when you’re the Host at a Stampin’ Up! event. That means either it’s your turn to host club, or you make a $150 order by yourself. Let me know if you’re interested in either one…
This month I’m using the 2 pretty Stamp Sets: Watercolor Wings & Butterfly Basics. The Watercolor Wings set uses a technique called Two-Step Stamping that makes it simple to look like a real artist! And it’s fun to see how many color combos you can come up with!
Colors I used for the calendar are Blushing Bride & Tip Top Taupe.
For my February Calendar page, I’ve used the trailer from You’re Sublime. LOVE that stamp set!!
I’ve used the Masking Technique to cover up the trailer while stamping the dots around it using a sponge dauber. Found this cute idea on Stampinwithhannah.
- Calypso Coral
- Lost Lagoon
- Smokey Slate
- Momento Black
I’ve also used Stampin’ Markers to do some coloring.
There’s something fresh, hopeful, & inspiring about a new year! A clean slate. A fresh start. That’s why I selected the sentiment, The Best is Yet to Come! You’ll find this stamp in the Host Set Best Thoughts.
I’ve also used Bountiful Border with colors Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, & Momento Black.
These desktop calendars that come with a plastic case were on sale for $12, but I just sold out of them 2 days ago. I’ll make more if you want an order of 6 or more, so email me your order if interested. Shipping is always just $6.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year!!
