There’s a new Suite in town!! Available June 1st- Eastern Palace Suite. And it’s gorgeous!! Especially the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies!
Fun new colors & the tassels are so cute! This is a Double Gate Fold Card that I made for my downline who promoted! My downline (Maui Big Shots!) are so enthusiastic & fun!! Love them all! This was for Linda Z, who just promoted to Bronze Elite & will earn 25% discounts now! Woohoo! The more you spend, the more you save, Linda!! That’s what I tell my husband, anyway!
Here’s a few of my downline, the Maui Big Shots! with some swaps. Linda’s in the middle, with the blue shirt.
Linda’s a classy gal with a business background, who’s also a Master Gardener! She’s busy with so many things and recently she’s started having her own card classes! Her cards are beautiful with great directions, and everyone has a great time! Pretty soon I’m thinking she’ll have her own blog…
I made this card with Linda in mind, thinking of how she’s transformed her whole yard into a beautiful garden!
You’re sure to see many more pictures with this pretty Designer Series Paper, Eastern Palace. Check out what ideas the other SSINK Team Members have come up with using this beautiful suite!
My April Cards, Etc. Classes are right around the corner! We’ll be making 4 projects, including these 2 cards:
This is a Double Gate Fold Card & it’s a great way to show off your Designer Series Paper!! I’ll include detailed directions for you so that hopefully you can go home & make lots of these! CLICK HERE to see directions to make this fun fold!
Here’s a simple, but beautiful card we’ll also be making:
I really like how these colors worked together!! Wisteria Wonder & Pool Party. For the sentiment I used Elegant Eggplant.
Stamps: Flourishing Phrases & Better Together
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Elegant Eggplant
Paper: Wisteria Wonder (5 1/2 X 11, scored at 4 1/4), Pool Party (5 1/2 X 2 3/4), Very Vanilla (5 1/2 X 2 1/2)
Accessories: Layering Squares Framelits Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies
I received this adorable baby card in the mail from my Secret Sister (SACS2017) and wanted to CASE it!! Unfortunately, I can’t tell you who made this cute card, because I haven’t figured out who she is yet!! Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team is featuring Baby Cards. Have you ever needed a card for a set of twins? They’d love receiving this Twin Bear Card!
I can’t figure out how my Secret Sister made the little carts in her card!! Anyone know? I used Lots of Labels Framelits Dies, and the little bears fit nicely inside. The bears are retiring!! So sad! Order them HERE before they’re gone! And you’ll want the Bear Hugs Framelits, too! Order them HERE! They’re on SALE, by the way.
Another contest… first person to tell me what set the arrows come from (the ones on the cart) gets this card in the mail! Woohoo!
Time to check out what the rest of the SSINK Design Team has made for Baby Cards!
Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation Team has a new challenge. I was determined to use my new Eastern Palace Suite Products and I managed to pair them with a girl holding an umbrella. Beautiful You. Here’s what I came up with:
I wasn’t sure about the Eastern Palace Suite at first, but I’m a sucker for getting things early!! The colors are fun & bright and the best thing is the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies!! Don’t you love that cut-out circle!! And I love the new InColor, Lemon Lime Twist!!
Also, this is sort of a new fun fold card. I’ll give directions here:
Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock (new!) 5 1/2 x 11, score at 4 1/4, then cut off 2 1/4
DSP for flap (5 1/4 X 1 3/4)
Front image: Cardstock (4 1/4 X 3) & Very Vanilla (4 X 2 3/4)
Did you notice that gold border on the bottom? Those are beautiful Gold Vinyl Stickers!
Can you help me come up with a name for this fun fold?!! I’ll make a set of cards for the person who comes up with the name I choose!! Just leave your comment below!
Time to head over to the SSINK page to see what the others have come up with for this challenge!
I love a good challenge, and Kylie has one for us at the Kylie’s International Blog Highlight May 2017, where the theme is “Masculine” card. I needed a graduation card & really like the message this card sends!
Here’s what I came up with:
I love the colors of this card! Soft Suede & Soft Sky, with a bit of Sahara Sand. And the textures!
These sets are retiring and I’ll miss them!! It’s always hard when Stampin’ Up! comes up with their RETIRING LIST!! But I have to admit, I love the new catalog that will be available in June!
The Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation team has Spring Fever! Thanks for joining us today to see what says “Spring” to all of us!
Spring had me reaching for the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper, which is covered with gorgeous floral designs. The best thing about it is the colors! You’ve got the pinks & purples and then there’s the blues & greens. Today I’ll be playing around with the blue/green papers.
I made a Double Gate Fold Card, which shows off this paper beautifully!
I just love it!! I added that small circle with the flower on the right & stuck it on using a Dimensional. It’s meant to tuck the large circle underneath to secure it.
There’s a coordinating Stamp Set (of course!) called Blooms & Wishes. I love how Stampin’ Up! has papers, stamps, and colors that all coordinate!!
Here’s another version I made that steps it up a bit:
Can you find the difference? No wasted DSP here! And look when it’s opened!
Here’s some basic directions for the Double Gate Fold Card:
Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 12″ piece of Designer Paper (easier if you use paper without “up & down”
Score at 2″, 4″, 8″, & 10
With a ruler make a mark up the 5 1/2″ side of the paper at 2 3/4″ on both sides
Cut from this mark to the second score line on both sides
Flip the cut off triangle over and adhere on the bottom of the card, allowing you to see both sides of the beautiful paper
Inside: Cut Card stock 5 ¼ X 3 ¾ & top with Whisper White 5 X 3 ½

Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration team will all be CASING a Team Member. CASE means Copy and Share Everything. As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator I feel flattered when someone CASES something I’ve made. CASING can be doing exactly the same thing, or copying the design or the colors. It can really give you a head start when you’re trying to come up with a new idea.
Here’s what I’m CASING:
I loved the layout of Darla’s card and decided to CASE it using Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper. I got this pack of paper FREE by spending $50 during Sale-A-Bration. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY of this great promotion! So if you’ve been thinking about placing an order, don’t wait until tomorrow!
Isn’t this a fun layout?!! Change the Designer Series Paper & get a totally different look!
And here’s a close up of this shiny paper. All supplies listed at the bottom of this post.
Be sure & head over to the SSINK SITE to see what the others have CASED!
This week the Global Design Project is CASING Louise Sharp. I love participating in their challenges because they have great sketches and help me with a beginning idea. Here’s what I came up with for this sketch:
What a beautiful image that is! And I love the verse that goes with it. I used the Banner Framelits in place of Louise’s tag. And I have this set on loan from my friend, Marylou, and wanted to play with it more before returning it. I think I just may need to get one of my own! The pretty Designer Series Paper is Blooms & Bliss I used watercolor pencils & an aquapainter to color the image. Here’s a closer look so you can see the sparkle from Wink of Stella:
To make this card, just check my supply list at the bottom of this post. Now, be sure to check out what other stampers have come up with for this sketch at the Global Design Project!
I received a swap from Mary Alice Bellis recently that convinced me to get the Make a Medallion stamp set! You can’t really “purchase” that set- but it’s available for just 2 more weeks through Sale-A-Bration. FREE with any $50 purchase!
Look at this Fun Fold!! I’d never seen one like this & it’s pretty special! Thanks, Mary Alice, for such a great idea! She’s got a Marvelous blog, by the way!
This is 3-step stamping! Simple to do. All the images fit inside each other to make this beautiful design. You’ll find lots of layers in this Fun Fold Card, with plenty of room to write your message.
This white page opens up, too!
