Just for fun, I sent out a few things to my downline, the Maui Big Shots! Their assignment was to make something using these supplies:
The paper was from Serene Scenery DSP Stack. They also used White Perfect Accents, Mini Paper Clips Combo Pack, & a circle from Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. It’s amazing how different all the cards turned out!!
I have a very creative & fun team & we love getting together to stamp & share ideas! I wish I would have taken a photo of the inside of Helen’s card…a huge bug-eating spider! Beth should get extra credit because it looks like she’s the only one to use her paper clip!
Here’s what I came up with:
I paired Crumb Cake with Dapper Denim & added Crushed Curry & Cajun Craze. The sentiment is from Layering Love.
Anyone interested in joining my team & becoming a “Maui Big Shot!” let me know! If you sign up before this month ends, you’ll receive 2 FREE STAMP SETS OF YOUR CHOICE! Most sign up to get the 20 – 25% discount. But there are so many more benefits! Friends, fun, & getting creative!
Leave us a comment about our cards! I think they did a great job & love how different they all are!
Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration team is featuring “Unusual Shaped Cards”. I’ve made a Telescoping Birthday Card!
Isn’t that fun?! I just love the whole Cool Treats Suite! There’s a cute stamp set, Designer Series Paper, Framelits Dies, Sprinkes, & Washi Tape! Take a close look at this paper:
See the shiny embossed popsicles? This is what makes it a “Specialty Designer Series Paper”. When the paper says specialty, the pack includes 2 very special sheets of paper in the pack that are shiny, embossed, & really pretty! That’s why those Designer Series Papers cost $13 instead of $11. Now you know!
Just for fun (and some great ideas!) check out what the other SSINK Team members have come up with for Unusual Shaped Cards!
Here’s today’s Card Challenge (SSINKCS#43) from Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration. I had fun with this sketch & used it for a Congratulations Card for a friend who just received a big award at work. Hope she likes it!
Isn’t that fun?!! Here’s what I stamped on the envelope:
This is the first time I’ve used this fun set called Everyday Hero. It won’t be the last! Also the first time using White Perfect Accents. Here’s a close up to see them better:
I love a challenge! And anytime I use Perfect Plum it’s challenging for me!! That color just sits there waiting to be noticed by me. In face, my upline, Anne Matasci and I started a Purple Plum Color Challenge with each other on Pinterest that we haven’t bothered with for over a year. So I’m reviving the challenge, Anne!!
That brings me to today’s Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Color Challenge SSINKCC#43.
I just dove right in & hated the colors when I started, but now I think it really works!!
In fact, I really like it a lot!! Where’s the plum? It’s in the sentiment and the dark color on the roses.
I was in a hurry this morning and decided to CASE one of my own cards.
Remember this gorgeous DSP and Everything Eleanor?!!
Here are the measurements so that you can CASE it, too!
Stamps: Picture Perfect
Ink: Melon Mambo & Perfect Plum
Paper: Whisper White Card Base (5 1/2 X 11, scored at 4 1/4 and 4 1/2 X 1 3/4), Tip Top Taupe (5 1/4 X 4, 2015 – 2017 In Color DSP Stack (4 1/4 X 1 3/4), Melon Mambo (4 1/4 X 2)
Be sure and check out what other great ideas the SSINK Team comes up with for combining these colors! And join us by adding your card in the color challenge SSINKCS#43!
It’s the last month of Sale-A-Bration, so there’s still time to place an order of $50 & receive a FREE product from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog!
Today I’ll show you some Sale-A-Bration items that I’m playing around with for the first time, Hey, Chick and Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper. It’s true. Actually using the stamp set or paper makes me really fall in love with it- a lot more than just seeing it in a catalog.
Can you spot all the Sale-A-Bration items on this card?
3/8″ Metallic Ribbon
The splatters in the background are just done by flicking my Gold Wink of Stella Pen at the paper.
Card #2. A different look using Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper
I used Watercolor Pencils to color the flower. And there’s Delicate Details embossed in gold down the side! Love that!
Here’s a close up to show you the sparkle from the Gold Wink of Stella. Can you see it?
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Next be sure to check out Megan’s blog where you’re sure to get lots of inspiration & ideas!
Hi everyone! I’m taking over the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Blog today where I get to tell you about myself!
I was raised in Hawaii (my dad was a minister who worked with servicemen & women on Oahu) and love the beach, hiking, and all the local culture & food! I became a Pediatric Nurse, starting in Honolulu, then moving to Colorado because I’d never seen snow. That was quite an experience: learning to dress for cold weather, drive on icy roads, & to ski- which I love! Met my husband, Pat, when he was a surgical resident at Denver Children’s. We ended up on Maui about 30 years ago, where we raised our 2 daughters, Jenny & Malia.
Jenny got married a few months ago & she’s a nurse on a trauma unit in Texas. Malia graduated from UT, Austin, and will soon be heading to Syracuse, NY to work with refugees.
Oh, can’t forget my pride & joy, Swiffer!
I’ve always enjoyed crafting! I first got into stamping when Jenny was in preschool. Once a week, my friend, Wendy, & I would drop the kids off then head over to her house for a morning of stamping fun! I remember getting so excited when I discovered you could stamp with different colors. Everything was 1 layer back then. But just like skiing on the Bunny Hill is exciting when you start out, every card we made was exciting & fun!
I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for about 6 years now & I just love it! Being creative is fun & relaxing, but it’s the friendships I’ve made that have been an unexpected bonus! I’ve been a part of the SSINK Design Team since last year. It’s a huge challenge for me and quite an honor. Everyone on the team has been so encouraging and helpful!
I’m not sure how to describe my style. My favorite type of card is a “Fun Fold”. I’ll show you a few that I’ve made:
Before I go, here’s my latest project. I was inspired by these new stamps I found at the Post Office!
Matched up the cardstock with the stamps: So Saffron, Mint Macaron, Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, Early Espresso, & Chocolate Chip, and reached for the Cool Treats Suite!
This is the first time I’ve tried this technique & it’s so simple & fun! It was difficult to capture in a photo! Here’s what I came up with:
The Fairy Celebration was perfect for this technique because there’s a lot you can color! You just emboss on vellum, then turn it over & color with markers. I attached the vellum to a Whisper White piece the same size (3 X 4) and attached it with glue dots under the coloring or the sequins, so that you can’t see the dots.
The FREE silver ribbon from Sale-A-Bration went with it nicely!
Here’s a close up so that you can see the Stained Glass Technique a little better:
