Going Green for St. Patrick’s Day

It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day so that’s our theme today at Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration.

For years when our girls were little, we were famous around the neighborhood for our St. Patrick’s Day Parties!  Basically, everything was green!  Green rice, mac & cheese, cupcakes, beer & soda.  And we’d always have an Irish Dance Show put on by the kids.  Miss those days…

I’ve decided to GO GREEN and use a Fun Fold called a Pleated Card.  This fold is a great way to show off your Designer Series Papers!

I didn’t find any Designer Series Paper in green that I was inspired about, so I started with this Black & White DSP, Petal Passion, & colored the flowers with my Stampin’ Blends.  I turned it over & decided I liked the back side even more!

I needed a little something for the corner so I cut out some flowers from Petals & More Thinlits Dies.  That bundle is my latest favorite!!  It’s pricey, but it has 2 stamp sets and you’ll love the way the images stamp and cut out!  And if you buy it this month, you’ll also earn a Sale-a-Bration item!  Only 2 more weeks of Sale-a-Bration!

Wait!  Here’s an exciting update on Sale-a-Bration!  They’re giving away even more for the last 2 weeks… including that beautiful thinlit seen in the photo below!  That’s one of the $100 items.   CLICK HERE TO SEE SALE-A-BRATION OFFERS!  Click on $50 or $100 button to see everything.

Touches of Texture Get Well Cards

No automatic alt text available.

Happy Monday & welcome to the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration post where we’ll be focusing on Get Well Cards today.

For my cards I started with a kit that’s been sitting on my table for awhile.  It’s called Color Me Happy & came out with our Stampin’ Blends.  The colors are so pretty & the envelopes really step it up a notch!

This was super easy because the card base & white layer were ready to go.  I used a flower from Touches of Texture and sentiment from Flourishing Phrases, embossing them in silver.  Colored them in with my Stampin’ Blends & dressed it up with ribbon & Glitter Dots (love those!!).

Here’s a different look.  Found those cute vellum leaves that were left over from last month’s Paper Pumpkin!

Here’s a picture of the Color Me Happy Project Kit ($25- makes 16 cards).

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure & go to the SSINK PAGE for more ideas…

My family used to go to this restaurant in Fresno after church once a month where I would happily browse through all the pictures on their View Master.  Animals, exotic places, movie stars…

Alaska Achievers Blog Hop Magical Day

Thank you for joining us for our February Alaskan Achievers Blog Hop.  Those hopping today are Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all around the world that have achieved the prestigious Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip that only a limited number around the world achieve.

We will be hopping together once a month to show you ideas and designs using current Stampin’ Up! products.  Today we’ll be focusing on Sale-a-Bration and the Occations Catalog.

Today I made a pretty mermaid card using Magical Day, a stamp set I’m featuring next month as my FIRST STAMP OF THE MONTH CLUB set!  I’m so excited to tell you about my club and hope you’ll give it a try.  Each month will focus on a different stamp set and you have the option of opting in or opting out- no obligation to participate each month.  The other thing you’ll like is that I make the completed cards for you!  This way you’ll be inspired to make more of the same and you won’t have card kits piling up when you’re too busy to complete them.

I’ve colored in the mermaid using my Stampin’ Blends and added a little Wink of Stella.  I love how it looks with the Foil Frenzy polka dot paper!  Look at the bottom of my post for the supply list.

Before I go, here’s a photo collage to show you the Stamp of the Month Club for March:

Sale-a-Bration 2nd Release for SSINK & FMS325

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration

Today at Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration we’ll be showing you some 2nd release Sale-a-Bration items!  Stampin’ Up! just released more FREE items with every $50 you spend!!  I’ll be showing you a card made with Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper, which was a 2nd release Sale-a-Bration item!  This paper is so pretty as is, but I wanted to try adding a little color to it using my brayer.

I was trying to come up with an ombre look.  This was really simple- just brayed it (is that a word?) with Marina Mist, Island Indigo, & then Night of Navy.

I came up with this great card layout using the challenge from Freshly Made Sketches #325.

Here’s the inside:

You’ll find the supply list at the bottom of my post.  And, this is one of the cards we’ll be making at my Cards, Etc. Class on Saturday, Feb. 24th at 2pm and again on Monday, Feb. 26th at 10am.

Be sure and stop by the SSINK Page to see what more 2nd release Sale-a-Bration items!

I’m excited to be a part of Kylie’s International Blog Highlight today, where you’ll be seeing lots of favorites from the Occasions & Sale-a-Bration Catalogs!

Today I’m showing you another Shaker Card!  The fun papers in Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper are so festive & are perfect with a little confetti added!

Here’s a better picture showing you this fun paper:

Picture Perfect Party 6" x 6" (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper

The artist easel is from Painter’s Palette.  That’s been stuck away in my closet for too long!  Such a cute set!

Here’s another Shaker Card.  Which one do you like best?  I like the candle one, except that you have to “fussy cut” it.  I don’t have a lot of patience for that.

I would love if you could take the time to vote for my card at Kylie Bertucci’s host page for this blog highlight.  The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project (#6)!   To vote, click on the button below, go to the gallery, then hover over the picture of the card until the little heart turns red.  You can vote by clicking on the icon below:

Lions, Tigers & Bears, Oh My! Cards Featuring Pretty Kitty

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for February 2018. This month our theme is Lions, Tigers & Bears, Oh My! Cards Featuring Animals!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Cheryl Hamilton @ www.createwithcheryl.me or may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Today’s blog hop is all about animals!  My Bella & Friends stamp set has gotten a lot of use, but I haven’t used Pretty Kitty until today.  Here I go…

Stamped the kitty on Shimmer Paper using Memento Ink and then colored it in using Stampin’ Markers.  I chose the colors based on this weeks challenge from Global Design Project #GDP125.

Don’t you just love that “amazing” cutout?!  You can get Celebrate You Thinlits FREE with any $100 order now until the end of March during Sale-a-Bration.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently, you are on my blog – Cheryl Hamilton @ Create With Cheryl, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next on the list.

Winter Blues with Petal Palette

Here’s a card that’s sure to cure your Winter Blues!

I just loved the way this turned out!  The paper is Petal Passion DSP that has been colored using my Stampin’ Blends.  There’s really no right or wrong way to use the Blends- just experiment!

This card is a Fun Fold called a Gate Card.  Very simple to make.  Give it a try!  For the card base, start with cardstock cut at 4 1/4 X 11 and score each end at 2 3/4″.  Then fold each side in towards the middle.

Take a look at the back of the paper after I colored it!  I almost like this as much as the front!!  What do you think?

Gave this card to my sweet husband for Valentine’s Day.  He’s been in the hospital in Arizona for 2 weeks- came back to Maui & had 1 nice day at home then had to go back to Maui Memorial ICU with more complications.  Hopefully he’ll be coming home today!

Thank you to everyone for your kindness and prayers during this difficult time.  My stampin’ friends are so wonderful- love you all!!  I’ve had people help prep my classes for me, mow my lawn, bring food, & loads of people praying & encouraging us.  We are truly blessed!

Don’t miss more Winter Blues Cards at the SSINK Design Team Page!
