Merry Christmas!! After all the rushing around & busyness, it’s here. A day to pause and reflect on the greatest gift the world has been given. A day to be grateful. A day to share.
I’m sharing some 3 X 3 cards with you today for our theme: Winter Wonderland. I love all the little details in these cards: glitter on the trees, a tiny deer, and that cute silver mini sequins. The colors used are Tranquil Tide, Pool Party, and Whisper White.
And we’ve got snowed on a couple of weeks ago!- not at my house, but on my mountain- Haleakala!
Although it may sound strange, snowfall in Hawaii is not rare. It snows here every year, but only at the summits of the highest volcanoes on the Big Island – Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea – which are at an elevation above 13,000 feet, as well as Haleakala on the island of Maui, which is at an elevation of just over 10,000 feet.
As you can see, a stack of 3 X 3 cards fits perfectly in the pizza box.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!
Oh… before you go, be sure & stop by the SSINK PAGE for more Winter Wonderland ideas!
Aloha and welcome to another Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration post! Today we’ll be showing you our ideas for 3 X 3 gift cards. 3 X 3 cards are simple and very useful. I participated in a 3 X 3 swap at On Stage in November and got tons of great ideas!! Here’s what I came up with using the Quilted Christmas Suite:
I started with the Pizza Box! No surprise there!! Perfect size for the 3 X 3 cards.
Open it up…
Isn’t that fun & inviting?! It’s filled with 3 X 3 cards with matching envelopes.
I’ve had so much fun with this Suite! There’s so much you can do with it.
You might be searching around for that star in the middle. That’s from Trim Your Stocking Thinlits. All ingredients listed below.
Time to head over to the SSINK PAGE for more 3 X 3 ideas!
I’m one of those people who have a hard time throwing things away! Even old Christmas Cards! I’ve found a way to recycle them that I’m really happy with: Window Cards using last year’s cards.
This was a really FUN project! These are some of my old Christmas Cards, framed using Hearth & Home Thinlits! You can purchase the Thinlits for just $20 and do the same with your cards this year! Here’s some finished cards:
Can’t wait to send this one back to the grandparents!! And the last one isn’t a Christmas Card, but I love the colors & had to show you.
Which one do you like best? Does anyone recognize their card from last year?!! I’d love to hear your comments!
Now go over the the SSINK PAGE to see some more Window Card ideas!
I have a Clean & Simple Project to share with you today. Tags using Merry Little Labels Stamp Set and the coordinating punch, Everyday Label Punch. The colors all come together well using Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper. I haven’t punched a hole in the top of these tags yet, because I just might put them on the front of a card. That would look pretty with a little embossed paper in the background…
For this tag, I just punched Old Olive cardstock & laid it sideways.
Tag #2 has some Black Mini Sequin Trim peaking out. Love how tiny this is!
Don’t you love the plaid paper in this DSP?!! This one has a gold stitched shape circle underneath and is embellished with Gold Faceted Gems.
Thank you for joining us at our Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop for December! Our theme today is “A December to Remember” and you’re sure to find some great ideas as you hop along!
I have a fun little box to show you today that starts with our Pizza Boxes that are retiring!! Waaaa! I love these! Make sure you GRAB SOME HERE before they’re gone!! The box is decorated with Basics Pack 3 Washi Tape (my favorite colors!), Mini Sequin Trim, and Labels to Love punched out with the Everyday Label Punch. Quick & simple to make! In fact, we’ll be making these in my final December Class next Monday, Dec. 11th at either 10 am or at 5:30 pm. 2 spots left!! Email me for details.
I just happened to have these Dove Chocolates to go inside! Aren’t they so cute?!! Tasty, too!
Thanks so much for joining us today- we are so happy that you’re taking part in our Blog Hop & would love your comments!!
Did you notice this cute saying in Barnyard Babies?!! This is perfect for where I live in Upcountry Maui! I’m surrounded by cows, goats, pigs, horses, & sheep that I say “Hi” to when I go on my morning walks.
I made a Charlie Brown Tree using Totally Trees and found the ornaments & star in the Tin of Tags set.
So, Happy Christmas to everyone!! It’s coming soon. I’m trying to enjoy each moment & not stress!
Today the SSINK Team will be doing something fun… making Christmas Cards using Non-Christmas Stamps! Here’s what I came up with:
I guess the Beachy Christmas set is technically a Christmas Stamp Set. But I thought this would work because I added the jar from Jar of Love Set.
This was my first time using this cute set. My club members are pretty excited about this set- living on Maui. Can’t wait to see what they all come up with! When you see this post, I’ll actually be in Salt Lake City!! And On Stage!! Can’t wait. I leave tomorrow (I’m writing this on Nov. 6th) and haven’t made any swaps yet! I’ve still got a few hours. I’d like to do something with this set and Blendabilities. Stay tuned… we’ll see how many I get finished.
Here’s a close up of the Shaker part of the card. So cute!!
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be sure & send some pictures of the Stampin’ Up! Event. You can always visit my Facebook page to see more photos.
My favorite Suite from the Holiday Catalog is Quilted Christmas! The more I play around with it, the more ideas pop into my head!
This suite includes Christmas Quilt Stamp Set, Quilt Builder Framelits Dies, Quilted Christmas DSP, 1/4″ Ribbon and Stitched Felt Embellishments.
Recently I challenged my downline, the Maui Big Shots!, to start using their DBWS and to add an event to their blog. Ramona Corson and Mary Green met the challenge, so this is one of the gifts they’ll receive from me:
I just love the Pizza Boxes!! They’re sturdy and glossy white and simple to assemble. They are the perfect size to hold a set of 3 X 3 cards. And now there are 3 X 3 envelopes available for purchase!
Today’s card is made using Merry Patterns Stamp Set. I totally LOVE this set and have just begun to play around with it!
This beautiful set is only available if you place a $300 order by yourself or by hosting a party. The promotion is good through October 31st. Please contact me if you need ideas on how you can get this cute stamp set!
Stamps: Merry Patterns
Ink: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Paper: Cherry Cobbler (base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4, another piece on top (4 X 5 1/4), Merry Little Christmas DSP (2 X 5 1/4), scraps of Whisper White & Old Olive
Accessories: Sparkle Embossing Folder, Layering Ovals Framelits, 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon- Old Olive, Wink of Stella for candle flames
Tips: I stamped off one of the candle stamps, but they’re all actually cherry cobbler. Except that one of them didn’t stamp well, so I stamped it in Old Olive then fussy cut the candle out! I used the “masking technique” to cover the candles before stamping the greenery.
I haven’t even tried the deer stamp yet. I just remembered, I did try this set another time using the sentiment, “Tis the Season”. It looks like I did something really fancy, but the pink design in the middle is just a stamp!!
