Happy Easter from the SSINK Team

We’re making Easter Cards at Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration today!  I pulled out You’re Inspiring, a set with beautiful daffodils! When Pat & I were first married we lived in Salt Lake City.  It was so exciting to see the daffodils peek up from the snow every Spring!   I can’t grow daffodils on Maui, unless I put the bulbs in the freezer…  We do have some lovely gardenia’s blooming right now though, so I’m happy!

CASED this card from Sue Vine, thank you, Sue!  I had to use your idea of masking the daffodils- just love how that looks!  I added Wink of Stella to the middle of the flowers.  Maybe you can see it in this close up.

Be sure to head over to SSInkspiration to see what the other design team members have created for Easter!

Easter View Master Card

Welcome to the Easter Themed Blog Tour of some RemARKably Creative Stampers!  Today I’m excited to share a View Master Card with you!  Blast from the past!  Remember when you were little – scrolling through pictures on your View Master?

View Master Classic

My family used to go to this restaurant in Fresno after church once a month where I would happily browse through all the pictures on their View Master.  Animals, exotic places, movie stars…

So when I noticed the Stamp Set A Good Day, the cute little pictures made me think of a View Master.

Banner Day!

If you’ve been following my blog, you know I love banners!  Colorful…inspiring sayings…fun art!

I recently made an Aloha Banner.  I chose the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper basically because I wanted to use that beautiful shiny pattern for the pineapple!

Isn’t that fun?!!  Instead of the Banners Framelits I usually use, I tried this with the Lots of Labels Framelits.  I’ll show you a few photos from the ends:

I recently had a few of my downline ladies over to make banners of their choice.

Helen, Linda, & Destryee worked all day on their banners!!  I didn’t get pictures of all of them, but here’s Destryee’s Easter Banner:

Isn’t that beautiful?!  We all have a new appreciation for banners!!  It’s like making 20 different cards!  But the results are so great!

Here’s one I started on that day:

I’m pretty happy to have a Christmas Banner done!  It gets way too busy once we hit October…

I’d love to hear any comments you have!  Have any of you made a banner?

Thanks for stopping by…

Cheryl

He Is Risen Banner for Easter

Allelujah!  Christ is risen!  Easter is the most important celebration for Christians and I wanted to make a banner to remind me and others in my home about this wonderful event!

It’s challenging for me to get a good photo of this project, but I hope you get the idea. Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper makes a pretty background for my banner.  I just added some coordinating cardstock, some Easter Stamps and butterfly punches.  Don’t you just love how all the Stampin’ Up! products coordinate so nicely!

Here’s a closer look:

Notice the sparkle on the cloth draped over the cross!  Wink of Stella!

Love the Butterflies Thinlits, especially with a Vellum butterfly on top!

The supplies for this project are listed at the bottom of this post.  Most of them are RETIRING PRODUCTS, so be sure to grab them now before they’re gone!!

Be sure and check out what the other SSINK Designers have made for this Easter Theme!

Easter Message for Global Design Project 080

This week the Global Design Project is CASING Louise Sharp.  I love participating in their challenges because they have great sketches and help me with a beginning idea.  Here’s what I came up with for this sketch:

What a beautiful image that is!  And I love the verse that goes with it.  I used the Banner Framelits in place of Louise’s tag.  And I have this set on loan from my friend, Marylou, and wanted to play with it more before returning it.  I think I just may need to get one of my own!  The pretty Designer Series Paper is Blooms & Bliss  I used watercolor pencils & an aquapainter to color the image.  Here’s a closer look so you can see the sparkle from Wink of Stella:

To make this card, just check my supply list at the bottom of this post.  Now, be sure to check out what other stampers have come up with for this sketch at the Global Design Project!

SSINKIC #43 for Easter

The March Card Challenge for the SSINK Team had me reaching for the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.  And I needed a bunny!  Found an adorable one in a baby set called Made With Love!

Isn’t he sweet?!!  And I’m loving that glimmer paper!!  You can get it FREE by spending $50 during Sale-A-Bration, which ends March 31st.

The Designer Series Paper I used is Succulent Garden DSP.  Gorgeous colors!

Be sure & check out what the other Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team Members have done with this cute sketch!

Have a Blessed Easter!

Happy Easter!  Hope you’re having a wonderful day with friends & family.  Ours won’t be too exciting because the girls are on the mainland & we miss them…but we’ll make the most of it!  Pat & I are blessed to have Mom living next door in our cottage, so we’ll have a nice dinner after church.

Wanted to show you my Easter Card:

Work of Art Easter Egg Createwithcheryl.me

Here’s a close up of the embossing:

I had a few leftover cards prepped & here’s what I made:

Create with Cheryl Big News

I thought this turned out cute!  Used the stamp set Big News and Baby’s First Framelits.

Create with Cheryl Happy Birthday

I had fun with this one!  And everyone needs birthday cards!  #imbringingbirthdaysback

Happy Birthday from the hostess set, Happy Birthday, Everyone, is the perfect size!  Then I punched out balloons using Party Punch Pack and some silver thread, bound together with the bow from Square Pillow Box Framelits.

Almost the same…just using scraps I found on my desk.  This flower was from Flower Fair Framelits.

One last card to share.  I received this beautiful card from one of my downline, Louella. Create with Cheryl Louella's card

Isn’t it gorgeous?!  I can see that Wink of Stella on the flowers…pretty!!

May the promise of Easter fill you with renewed faith, hope, & joy.

Have a blessed Easter!

Baker’s Box for Easter

This club’s projects will all center around Easter!

Lamb Baker's Box Createwithcheryl.me

This cute little box (idea is from Mickey Roberts) is simple to make using the Baker’s Box Thinlits.  The size is perfect to hold a handful of Easter treats (it’s a bit smaller than a cupcake).  And don’t you love that lamb?!   I colored him in with my Blender Pen using ink pressed to the lid of the ink pad cover.  I actually separated the “happy easter” from the lamb to make it easier to use for baby cards.  I’ll show you how to do this at Club.

March Club will be Saturday, March 12 at 2 pm at my house in Haiku or Sunday, March 13 at 1 pm in Pukalani.  Guests are always welcome & just need to place a $25 order or pay $10.

Here’s another project I just love:

Work of Art Easter Egg Createwithcheryl.me

This pretty egg is decorated using Work of Art!  My favorite thing is the sentiment embossed using Melon Mambo Embossing Powder!  You can’t see it, but the Daffodil Delight stripes are sparkling with Wink of Stella!

Hope you can join us this month!

March Club…Easter Theme!

Club is next weekend and we’ll be making a couple of Easter projects!  One of the projects is this adorable card I found on Rachel Tessman’s blog.
