Welcome to the Alaska Achiever’s May Blog Hop! Everyone participating in this hop has earned the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Alaska Cruise!! I think we’re all getting pretty excited about it because it’s just 2 months away! I’ve been reading Alaska books, bought a rain coat, signed up for a couple of excursions (fishing charter & train in Skagway). Can’t wait!!
We’re focusing on the new Share What You Love Suite today. Stampin’ Up! has released this for sale a month early- so you can get your hands on it now, before the new annual catalog goes live next month.
Here’s what I’ve made with this gorgeous paper:
Aren’t those papers just amazing?!! What a fun way to brighten up your desk!
Place an order on my on-line store this month & I’ll send you a FREE PDF FILE showing you how to make your own LEGAL PAD COVER WITH PEN.
And if your order is $50 or more, I’ll include a package of leaves trinkets as a Thank You!
I’ll be having a class where we’ll be making this Legal Pad Cover with Pen and the Post-It Note cover. Class is Monday, May 28th (Memorial Day) at 10am at my house in Haiku, Maui. Hope you can find the time to attend!
Did you notice this cute saying in Barnyard Babies?!! This is perfect for where I live in Upcountry Maui! I’m surrounded by cows, goats, pigs, horses, & sheep that I say “Hi” to when I go on my morning walks.
I made a Charlie Brown Tree using Totally Trees and found the ornaments & star in the Tin of Tags set.
So, Happy Christmas to everyone!! It’s coming soon. I’m trying to enjoy each moment & not stress!
I think this month’s page is my favorite! I love the way these watercolors made the pretty background- just a stamp on top…& done! I found the idea for this from Michelle Quinno at shellsq.blogspot.com. Thanks, Michelle!
Watercolored using Aquapainter: Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, & Tip Top Taupe
Stamped on top using Early Espresso. Stamp sets are Totally Trees & Endless Thanks.
I have so much to be thankful for! The first thing that comes to mind is how thankful I am for the many dear friends I’ve made through stampin’!
Hello everyone! Welcome to the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration day when we’ll be welcoming baby Hunter!! Our teammate, Pamela Wu, just had a baby 1 week ago!
Isn’t he just perfect?!!
I made him this Sampler for his room!
It’s mainly an ocean theme with a taste of Hawaii (shave ice & pineapple). I chose these colors (Emerald Envy, Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Flirty Flamingo, Sahara Sand) to go with the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.
These cute images are from Cookie-Cutter Halloween! Love that set! The holiday season is officially here! I’m determined to stay on top of things this year!! We’ll see what happens.
I have lots of fun classes scheduled in the next few months! You can always see what events I’m having by clicking on CLASSES & EVENTS on the top of my blog. Try to join us at some of the classes this month!
Be sure to head over to Anne & Crystal’s blogs to see their October calendars!
One of my dear friends is expecting a grand-baby very soon. She’s requested a framed piece for baby’s name… with a hula girl! I’ve been throwing this idea around & procrastinating for at least a month! But baby will soon be here!
So yesterday I started playing around with the idea, trying to make it for boy or girl. Here’s what I came up with:
I just love it & hope she does, too!! You may be asking, “Where’s the hula girl?” I know! I’ve made a special one for her that she’ll have to put in the center square along with baby’s name. I could have made a hula skirt for the mermaid! Just thought of that!
Here’s a few closeup’s:
Definitely a Hawaii Baby Theme here!
If you’d like to make one, I’ll be offering a class soon!
BABY FRAMED ART CLASS

Seaside Shore has some nice, detailed fish images, along with seaweed & rope. This is my stamp for the August calendar page.
I’ve used a Masking Technique to stamp the bottom fish in Calypso Coral, then cover him with a post-it note that I’ve cut out in that shape. Then I was able to stamp seaweed right over it without messing up the fish. Other colors: Dapper Denim, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky.
