Haunted House 3-D

create-with-cheryl-haunted-house

Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team is featuring 3-D items!  I selected this page from Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper for the house because it’s a heavier weight of paper- and because it’s so cute with a shiny spider web!

Just so you know, Stampin’ Up! has Designer Series Papers (which happen to be on a special sale this month only!  Buy 3, get 1 FREE!).  These cost $11.00 for a pack.

“Specialty” Designer Series Papers cost $13 for a pack.  They always have 2 sheets of special- shiny- bling-y paper that’s especially pretty!  So now you know.

I just love it!!  I’d like to make 100 little houses & hang them all around!

Supplies Used:

  • Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Home Sweet Home Thinlits Die
  • Sweet Home Stamp Set
  • Paisley Framelits Dies (back window with ghost peeking out)
  • Orange & Silver Glitter Paper
  • Enamel Shapes

Be sure & head on over to see what the other SSINK Team Gals have come up with for their 3-D ideas!

So much to be thankful for!

At club last month we all made candles using or stamps. It was so much fun to see what everyone came up with!

I’m in Texas right now at a beautiful house on Lake Belton. In the next few hours this house will be filled with Hamiltons!  So for now I’m taking my cup of coffee up to the deck to enjoy the silence and hopefully see a few deer.

I’m so happy to be together with family this Thanksgiving, especially my two daughters. Malia left yesterday to go back to Orlando, but we had such a great visit. I’m also thankful for all of you and can’t wait to get back to stamping with you. Happy Thanksgiving!

Free Make & Take for Thanksgiving!

Last night we had our first Thanksgiving Make & Take and I want to show you the wonderful projects we made!

Francine's tissue holder

Project #1 was created by Francine and I just love it! It’s a small tissue holder and it’s really simple to make.  She’s used Into the Woods DSP from the holiday catalog for the pretty paper.

Francine is selling kits so that you can make these at home.  Just $10 for a kit that makes 5 holders (tissue not included).

Marylou's Curvy Box Turkey

Project #2 was created by Marylou.  Isn’t it adorable?!!  She’s used the Curvy Keepsake Box to make them, along with lots of punches.  Just add candy…

She has kits available for sale, also!  For just $10, you’ll be able to make 6 of these cute little turkeys.  I forgot to take a picture of his “back-side”.  That will be a surprise for you!

Thanksgiving pocket boxes

Project #3 was created by me.  You can choose to make either a candy box or a place-setting to decorate your Thanksgiving table.  I used the Pillow Box Framelit that is in the holiday catalog.

I also have kits available for $10 & you’ll have supplies to make 6.

We’re doing this same event again this Sunday, October 18th.

173 Hoohana #101 in Kahului behind Safeway.

Don’t miss it!!  Did I mention…IT’S FREE!

Please RSVP so that we have everything prepped!  Leave a comment to order kits to make at home.

Thanks for stopping by & hope to see you soon!

Kinda Eclectic for August

Createwithcheryl Aug 2015

Welcome to our August Calendar Mini-blog!  This month I’ve used Kinda Eclectic to make my page.  The leaves are so, so pretty!  You can see where I’ve stamped the leaf image first on top and then stamped again without re-inking.  The colors are Pear Pizzazz and Wisteria Wonder.

Haunted House

Spent the afternoon making a Haunted House!  What fun!Haunted House 1

Most of the things I used are retired…but I bought a bunch of those houses when they were on sale last year.  I did use our Halloween Washi Tape.  Time to make some candy boxes to go with this!

Have a great weekend!

Epic Day with my daughters

031

Both of my girls were home for Mother’s Day, so we did some serious eating & crafting!  They each made a page for me in my Smash Book…

Malia's smash pageJenny's smash page

It was fun to see what the girls chose to highlight about their mom!  Of course, the pages also included coffee & chocolate & champagne!

We also spent time running soda cans through the Big Shot!Coke flowerCoke butterfly

Last thing we did was decorate a birdfeeder for Tutu.

Don’t forget to RSVP for my FREE SMASH BOOK CLASS this Sunday!  Email me at chamilton.maui@gmail.com to let me know you’re coming!

Wild About Robert!

We have a new baby in the family!!  Robert Layne has arrived! Baby Robert's here!

His bedroom is decorated with animals in Night of Navy & Gumball Green (his mom may not know she chose these colors, but she did!).

I knew just the thing I had to make…

Wild About You Collage

Love these little animals & I’m sad SU retired them.  Hope this inspires you to do some stampin’ today!

Hamilton Hale

I went a little crazy the last few days making a Hawaiian Hale (house, to you mainlanders…).  I’ve been thinking about doing this since these “design a houses” went on sale for just $2.39 on our CLEARANCE RACK.

Isn’t it just SOOOOO CUTE!!  I was planning on offering this as a class!  Silly me!!  The girls would have come after me with their scissors after a couple of hours!!  The hula dancer is held there with a wire and she moves like a bobblehead!  And the ukulele really plays…Lovely Hula Hands!  Ok, not really.  I can put one of those fake candles in there and it lights up through the vellum windows.

This is the back & sides of the house.  The DSP is Comfort Cafe.  The Hula Dancer & surfboards are a retired stamp set (thanks, Claudine!!!).  The palm tree was some retired Christmas paper that looked like wood, wrapped around a big highlighter.  Then I put a big blob of glue on top & stuck in leaves.

I think I need to make a bobblehead of my husband as a fire-dancer!!  Stay tuned…

Update:  My Oahu friend, Sue, saw my hut & made one herself!  Here it is!!

Lee Hale

She made it to totally match her house!  Christmas tree & doggie in the window!  LOVE IT!!!
