Haunted House 3-D

create-with-cheryl-haunted-house

Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team is featuring 3-D items!  I selected this page from Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper for the house because it’s a heavier weight of paper- and because it’s so cute with a shiny spider web!

Just so you know, Stampin’ Up! has Designer Series Papers (which happen to be on a special sale this month only!  Buy 3, get 1 FREE!).  These cost $11.00 for a pack.

“Specialty” Designer Series Papers cost $13 for a pack.  They always have 2 sheets of special- shiny- bling-y paper that’s especially pretty!  So now you know.

Celebrating with the SSINK Team!

Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team will be featuring celebration cards.  I’ve been wanting to play around with my new Home Sweet Home Thinlits Dies.  Here’s what I came up with:

Home Sweet Home Create With Cheryl

This fun card sort of made itself!  I just kept cutting things out & randomly decorating this card.  I think it turned out really fun & cute!

The door opens using one of the Thinlits…

Haunted House

Spent the afternoon making a Haunted House!  What fun!Haunted House 1

Most of the things I used are retired…but I bought a bunch of those houses when they were on sale last year.  I did use our Halloween Washi Tape.  Time to make some candy boxes to go with this!

Have a great weekend!

Hamilton Hale

I went a little crazy the last few days making a Hawaiian Hale (house, to you mainlanders…).  I’ve been thinking about doing this since these “design a houses” went on sale for just $2.39 on our CLEARANCE RACK.

Isn’t it just SOOOOO CUTE!!  I was planning on offering this as a class!  Silly me!!  The girls would have come after me with their scissors after a couple of hours!!  The hula dancer is held there with a wire and she moves like a bobblehead!  And the ukulele really plays…Lovely Hula Hands!  Ok, not really.  I can put one of those fake candles in there and it lights up through the vellum windows.

This is the back & sides of the house.  The DSP is Comfort Cafe.  The Hula Dancer & surfboards are a retired stamp set (thanks, Claudine!!!).  The palm tree was some retired Christmas paper that looked like wood, wrapped around a big highlighter.  Then I put a big blob of glue on top & stuck in leaves.

I think I need to make a bobblehead of my husband as a fire-dancer!!  Stay tuned…

Update:  My Oahu friend, Sue, saw my hut & made one herself!  Here it is!!

Lee Hale

She made it to totally match her house!  Christmas tree & doggie in the window!  LOVE IT!!!
