Today we have a Sketch Challenge from the SSINK Team. Here’s what I came up with:
I’ve used the Marbled Background set & embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I sponged it with Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, and Lemon Lime Twist. See all the supplies at the end of my post.
I always enjoy trying Card Sketches! I start out with one idea & it always ends up looking quite differently! I hope you enter our challenge & would love to see your ideas!
Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team will be CASE-ing one of our own team: Nichole Loe! Nichole lives in Tacoma, WA, & has a fun blog that you can find HERE!
Recently Nichole made a card that I just had to CASE!! I love the idea of using a punch to create the background & then embossing it!
Here’s what I came up with:
Isn’t that fun?!! I used Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper for the background & Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock for the base.
I’m going to have to buy a ton of those Glitter Enamel Dots! Love them!!
Here’s another card using Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper:
My daughter, Malia, has been with me for almost a month & we’ve been spending lots of time in my craft room. She came up with this odd color combo, but I think it looks great! Lemon Lime Twist & Emerald Envy (Malia’s favorite).
I’m excited about today’s Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop: Knotty Ways! We’ll be showcasing Stampin’ Up! Ribbon in a Christmas Theme! I’ve used Foil Frenzy Paper which is shiny & gorgeous! These are the first Christmas Cards I’ve made since last year… just love the holidays and all the special cards & gifts!
I used Christmas Pines stamp set which pairs with Pretty Pines Thinlits. The leaves have such dimension! The ribbon is 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon- Fresh Fig. The accent pieces (Glitter Enamel Dots) add just the right touch!
Here’s another one where you can see the shine in the Foil Frenzy paper.
Which card do you like best? Leave a comment below & I’ll put your name in a drawing to win a set of GLITTER ENAMEL DOTS!
Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation Team won’t be making cards. In fact, we’ll be focusing on ANYTHING BUT A CARD!
I’m excited to show you a project that will help you organize your life! My birthdays are all over the place… my computer, calendar, on scraps of paper. Now I have a system to remember birthdays as well as a place to tuck the cards away that are perfect for a special person!
This project was CASED from 2 people: Vicki Wizniuk, who has the calendar inserts on her blog, and Erika Cerwin who came up with this great idea!! They each have tons of great ideas!!
So each month has a pocket for the calendar inserts. Turn the group over & you have the last 6 months of the year!
I’m offering 2 classes next month so that you can make your own Birthday Boxes!
Sunday, August 20 at 3 pm or
Monday, August 21 at 10 am
Cost is $20 or FREE with your $40 order placed that day
This is the first time I used this set: Happy Birthday Gorgeous. I just love the images! This idea was CASED from Mary Anderson. I’m not sure if she has a blog, but she should!! Click HERE for her Pinterest Page.
To make this card, I decided on a sentiment and circle I was cutting out. I used a circle 1 size smaller for a mask, then just stamped around the circle. And take a look at the Classic Weave Ribbon. It’s so pretty & rich looking!!
The sentiment is from Better Together. Perfect for birthday, wedding, or any congratulations card.
Would you like to make this card with me? Now’s your chance! July Cards, Etc. Class will be offered 2 different dates:
Saturday, July 29th at 2 pm or
Monday, July 31st at 10 am
$10 or FREE with your $20 order
There’s no “etc”, this month, just 4 pretty cards. RSVP ASAP to hold your spot in class!
I really love my punches! And this card features 2 of my favorites: Pansy Punch & the new Decorative Label Punch! Actually, 3 PUNCHES! There’s also the Classic Label Punch!
I just love the way it turned out!! It started with the technique I showed you a few days ago called Ink, Spray, & Smash. That’s how I made that pretty background using ink drops on Glossy paper.
Sometimes when you make a mistake, or, in my case, can’t find something in this mess of a stamp room, you’re forced to be creative & the project turns out even better! I wanted to use the Pansy Punch because all I’ve been seeing is daisies! But my set, Flower Shop, is no where to be found! So I used the bunch of flowers from Window Box & punched it out with my Pansy Punch.
Today we have a fun Technique Challenge for you!! Stampin’ Up! recently added Glossy Cardstock to the catalog, so we decided on a challenge that uses it. It was easy & fun & the results are so pretty!! I think you’re okay without the gloves.
Here’s what I made…another Mermaid Card!!
Isn’t it gorgeous?!! And every card is unique!
I had to fussy cut the mermaid, which wasn’t too bad. But here’s another card where I avoided the cutting!
I still really like it. What do you think? Fussy cut or no?? For my club members… let me know which one you’d like to make! We just might have to try out this technique!
That glittery star is a new accessory: 2016-2018 In Color Glitter Acrylic Shapes. There are little stars, flowers, hearts, & arrows. Really fun!
Can’t wait to see what the rest of the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Design Team has done for this challenge! CLICK HERE to check out their creations!
Stampin’ Up! has a selection of beautiful new Suites in the new catalog. Today I want to focus on the Eastern Palace Suite. My favorite thing about this is the set of Thinlits Dies! So many different shapes & designs in that package!!
Here’s a card I want to show you… It’s a Fun Fold with a Flap Closure! Found the idea for this cute card from BJ Peters. Thanks, BJ, for the fold idea!

What kid doesn’t like ice cream? Actually, what adult doesn’t love it, too?!! At my Open House for the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog recently, I had an Ice Cream Sundae Bar. I made my own Hot Fudge for the event! Yummers!!!
I’ll leave you with the recipe at the end of the post.

Today I’m excited to be CASE-ee! The Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Design Team will be CASEing my cards! Can’t wait to see what they do!
I didn’t want to miss out on the fun, so I’m CASEing myself! It’s funny, because in this previous post I was CASEing Darla Roberts! I went back to this post because I like this simple design and the way it showcases pretty Designer Series Papers!
Here’s what I made for today’s post:
Love these colors!! The Designer Series Paper is Whole Lot of Lovely & it’s gorgeous, don’t you agree?!! The background texture is called Sparkle.
