Today’s card is made using Merry Patterns Stamp Set. I totally LOVE this set and have just begun to play around with it!
This beautiful set is only available if you place a $300 order by yourself or by hosting a party. The promotion is good through October 31st. Please contact me if you need ideas on how you can get this cute stamp set!
Stamps: Merry Patterns
Ink: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Paper: Cherry Cobbler (base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4, another piece on top (4 X 5 1/4), Merry Little Christmas DSP (2 X 5 1/4), scraps of Whisper White & Old Olive
Accessories: Sparkle Embossing Folder, Layering Ovals Framelits, 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon- Old Olive, Wink of Stella for candle flames
Tips: I stamped off one of the candle stamps, but they’re all actually cherry cobbler. Except that one of them didn’t stamp well, so I stamped it in Old Olive then fussy cut the candle out! I used the “masking technique” to cover the candles before stamping the greenery.
I haven’t even tried the deer stamp yet. I just remembered, I did try this set another time using the sentiment, “Tis the Season”. It looks like I did something really fancy, but the pink design in the middle is just a stamp!!
Hello everyone! Welcome to the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration day when we’ll be welcoming baby Hunter!! Our teammate, Pamela Wu, just had a baby 1 week ago!
Isn’t he just perfect?!!
I made him this Sampler for his room!
It’s mainly an ocean theme with a taste of Hawaii (shave ice & pineapple). I chose these colors (Emerald Envy, Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Flirty Flamingo, Sahara Sand) to go with the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.
Here’s a fun Sketch Challenge from the SSINK Team! I love these challenges because they force me to come up with my own ideas. Give it a try!!
To make this card, I basically started with some stamp sets I’d been wanting to play with: Merry Patterns & Christmas Sweaters! The Merry Patterns Set can only be earned by placing a $300 order through the end of October!! Let me know if you have a big Wish List or would like to host a party! I chose the colors by looking at the Quilted Christmas 6 X 6 DSP. That’s a simple way to choose a color combo guaranteed to look great!
I don’t get a lot of use out of my sweaters here on Maui. But my daughter, Malia, is spending her first winter in Syracuse, NY, where I hear it gets mighty cold! She’s already made a request for sweater money.
Here’s a close up of that cute sweater…
Now head over to our SSINK Page to see what the other designers have done with this sketch! Give it a try!! We’d love to see what you come up with!
Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team will be showcasing Animal Ideas! I chose This Little Piggy!
Most of you probably think of playing “This Little Piggy” with your babies. I think of something a bit different. My dad was a HUGE Big Band Fan!! I’d be trying to do homework after school and I’d be the one yelling at my dad to “Turn down the music!”. Glenn Miller had a fun song called, “Boogie Woogie Piggy” that we’d dance the jitterbug to. That’s the song I sang to my babies when I’d tickle their toes! Does anyone else remember that song??
Back to my card. My daughter, Malia, actually gets the credit for this cute card! She came up with this fun opening that has a 3rd circle on the inside for your personal note.
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure & hop over to the SSINK Page to see more animal ideas!
I’ll leave you with a picture of my handsome dad, probably taken around the time I was a baby.
I’m a coffee person! It’s the thing that gets me out of bed in the morning. My morning ritual is to sip on coffee while browsing through my email & planning my day. I’ve even got this thing that froths milk! Makes me feel really pampered.
I needed a card to give a Coffee Gift Card to a friend. This is what I came up with:
Fall Frenzy is today’s theme for the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation Team! I’m not feelin’ the “fall” here on Maui! It’s just plain hot!
I came up with my card idea by following a sketch from Fab Friday.
Here’s my card:
I reached for the old standby… Lovely As a Tree then added a nice sentiment from Paisleys & Posies. The leaf embossing in the background gives it just the right touch. I’ve used sponges to give some color to the trees & grass.
Here I used the Tree Rings background instead of textured leaves. Which card do you prefer? I’m trying to come up with ideas for the September Cards, Etc Class!
Thanks for stopping by today! I’d really love to hear your comments to help me choose which card to make for class!
We have a fun Technique Challenge for you today for the SSINK Team… Ink on Embossing Folders!
This is my first time trying out this technique & I just love it!! It’s simple & fast with great results! Here’s my card:
Just used my brayer to spread some ink on the Brick Wall Embossing Folder! I really like the way it turned out & can’t wait to ink up my other Embossing Folders!
Stamps: Spooky Cat
Inks: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Very Vanilla (4 1/4 X 11, score at 2 3/4 & 8 1/4) and inky embossed pieces (4 X 2 1/2- cut 2), Basic Black (2 5/8 X 4 1/8- cut 2), Spooky Night DSP
Accessories: Cat Punch, Black Rhinestone Jewels
Notes: The Spooky Night DSP has a page made to cut 3″ squares containing the tree with the moon behind it. I cut those squares 2 7/8 so that they’d fit onto the biggest scalloped square from Layering Squares Framelits.
When my husband & I were first married (32 years ago!), we lived in Salt Lake City for 3 years. What a great place to live!! Great skiing & hiking so close to the city! And great opportunities to learn how to quilt! There was an amazing quilt store that I’d spend hours in, that offered quilting classes! I started off by making stuffed hearts & a bear on a string that all had cute quilting. Later I made a Christmas Tree Skirt where we’d hand-dyed angels all around it, then quilted by hand. And after awhile, my sweet neighbor, Ardella, encouraged me to come over several days a week while she helped me make a Queen sized quilt! We sort of adopted each other & she was like a mom to me & Pat early in our marriage. We were so blessed to have her in our lives!
So it’s not surprising that I’ve been drawn to the Quilted Christmas Suite! Beautiful stamps & Framelits that coordinate with Stitched Felt Embellishments, ribbon & Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!
Here’s the beautiful coordinating 6X6 Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper. I love the non-traditional colors in there… blushing bride, lemon lime twist, and pool party!
Stamps: Christmas Quilt
Ink: Real Red
Paper: Blushing Bride card base (5 1/2 X 11, score at 4 1/4), Real Red (5 3/8 X 2 3/4), Quilted Christmas DSP (5 3/8 X 2 1/2)
Accessories: Stitched Felt Embellishments, Whisper White Baker’s Twine
I’ll be having a QUILTED CHRISTMAS SUITE CLASS in October & hope you can attend!
