Reflection Technique with my Team

Just a quick note to show you some fun we had experimenting with the Reflection Technique at our Maui Big Shots! Team Meeting last weekend.  We get together every 2 months to swap & talk business, but we always like to do a little stampin’!  You can see the cards I made using this technique HERE.

I put out a few different stamp sets and here’s a few of the cards they came up with:

I love the way they’re so different!  And the backgrounds are beautiful.  I know they’d LOVE YOUR COMMENTS!  Let them know what you think of their cards & I’ll pass it along to them!

I’m entering them all into the latest technique challenge at Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration #SSINKTC51.

#SSINKTC51

Have you ever tried the Reflection Technique?  I think you’ll be surprised at how easy it is to do!  Today at Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation we’re focusing on the Reflection Technique and hope you’ll play along with our challenge!

I’ve used this technique before, but always with Lovely As a Tree.  For my card I’m using a neglected (but loved!) stamp set.  Wild About Flowers.  Isn’t that sentiment so nice?

I’m not really very good at sponging, but getting better with practice.  Here’s a card I made with a left-over piece from a card I messed up on.  I think I like it even better than the card above!  What do you think?

I’m trying to earn the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip to Greece in 2019, but have quite a ways to go!  Here you can see my progress!  Looks like I just passed Mexico!

To help me out, order Wild About Flowers or Lovely as a Tree online & I’ll throw in some Sponge Daubers or Stampin’ Sponges FREE to get you started!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to head over to SSInkspiration to see what the other design team members came up with, and to play along with this fun challenge.

Sale-a-Bration 2nd Release for SSINK & FMS325

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration

Today at Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration we’ll be showing you some 2nd release Sale-a-Bration items!  Stampin’ Up! just released more FREE items with every $50 you spend!!  I’ll be showing you a card made with Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper, which was a 2nd release Sale-a-Bration item!  This paper is so pretty as is, but I wanted to try adding a little color to it using my brayer.

I was trying to come up with an ombre look.  This was really simple- just brayed it (is that a word?) with Marina Mist, Island Indigo, & then Night of Navy.

I came up with this great card layout using the challenge from Freshly Made Sketches #325.

Here’s the inside:

You’ll find the supply list at the bottom of my post.  And, this is one of the cards we’ll be making at my Cards, Etc. Class on Saturday, Feb. 24th at 2pm and again on Monday, Feb. 26th at 10am.

Be sure and stop by the SSINK Page to see what more 2nd release Sale-a-Bration items!

#SSINK Count My Blessings

Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team will be showcasing favorite Stamp Sets from the Holiday Catalog!  My favorite, hands down, is Count My Blessings!  This set has beautiful artwork and can be used any time of year!

My team, the Maui Big Shots!, had a stampin’ retreat over Labor Day and this is one of the projects we made:

This is called a Vellum Luminary Card, and it’s very simple to make!  You put a battery- candle in the middle & it lights up.  So pretty!!  The sentiment and leaves are from Count My Blessings and the Designer Series Paper on the left side is Painted Autumn DSP.

I used a technique called “Stained Glass” on the vellum.  CLICK HERE to see directions from a previous card.

A Vellum Luminary would be really nice for Christmas!  Maybe you’ll see another one here in a month or two.

Don’t you just love the Holiday Catalog?!!  Be sure & go to the SSINK PAGE for more Holiday Favorites!

SSINK Team: Playing With Punches

I really love my punches!  And this card features 2 of my favorites:  Pansy Punch & the new Decorative Label Punch!  Actually, 3 PUNCHES!  There’s also the Classic Label Punch!

I just love the way it turned out!!  It started with the technique I showed you a few days ago called Ink, Spray, & Smash.  That’s how I made that pretty background using ink drops on Glossy paper.

Sometimes when you make a mistake, or, in my case, can’t find something in this mess of a stamp room, you’re forced to be creative & the project turns out even better!  I wanted to use the Pansy Punch because all I’ve been seeing is daisies!  But my set, Flower Shop, is no where to be found!  So I used the bunch of flowers from Window Box & punched it out with my Pansy Punch.

Here’s a closer look for you:

Time to hop over to the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspration Page to see more Punch Ideas!

#SSINKTC47 Technique Challenge: Ink, Spray, Smash

Today we have a fun Technique Challenge for you!!  Stampin’ Up! recently added Glossy Cardstock to the catalog, so we decided on a challenge that uses it.  It was easy & fun & the results are so pretty!!  I think you’re okay without the gloves.

Here’s what I made…another Mermaid Card!!

Isn’t it gorgeous?!!  And every card is unique!

I had to fussy cut the mermaid, which wasn’t too bad.  But here’s another card where I avoided the cutting!

I still really like it.  What do you think?  Fussy cut or no??  For my club members… let me know which one you’d like to make!  We just might have to try out this technique!

That glittery star is a new accessory:  2016-2018 In Color Glitter Acrylic Shapes.  There are little stars, flowers, hearts, & arrows.  Really fun!

2 Step Stampin’ for March

The simplest way I know to make a quick but beautiful card is to use a stamp set that lets you 2-Step Stamp!  Simply layer one image over another using different colors!

You cannot buy this stamp set.  But you can get it FREE during Sale-A-Bration by placing a $50 order!  Sale-A-Bration runs through March 31st, so don’t wait too long!

The colors are Calypso Coral & Dapper Denim.  The little butterfly is found in one of my favorite sets, Butterfly Basics.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure & head over to Anne & Crystal’s blogs to see their March calendars.  And leave us a comment 🙂  We love those!
