Just wanted to show off the June projects for the In Color Club! Berry Burst. Isn’t that a pretty color?!
The club has been so popular that we now have 3 days/month to choose from AND In Color Club BY MAIL! Let me know if you’d like to join us! And I just want to thank everyone for supporting my Stampin’ Up! Business!! I just see Alaska getting closer & closer!! It’s because of all your enthusiasm & support that I’m so close to earning this incentive trip!! Thank you so much!
Here’s the dates for the In Color Club (June – October):
2nd Monday of each month at 10am
3rd Sunday of each month at 1pm
3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 in Kahului
Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if you need more information.
Here’s the SSINK Card Sketch 46 for June. I love how these sketches make me come up with my own design, instead of just searching Pinterest (although I do love Pinterest!).
I could have stamped some splotches on the upper left, but I decided to try out my new Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies. Absolutely LOVE these!!
Here’s what I came up with:
Isn’t that cutout fun!! And I could use the little diamond shapes for a shaker card! The ribbon is Fresh Fig Finely Woven Ribbon (1/2″) and it’s really soft & easy to work with.
Here’s a tip for stamping clear images when you’re using tiny fonts: I tried stamping the sentiment using my Fresh Fig Ink Pad, but it was very “juicy” and kept filling in the l’s and o’s. Then I tried just using the brush side of my Fresh Fig marker and it worked perfectly!
You’ll find all the supplies at the bottom of this post. Who else loves these thinlits dies?!! This will be one of the cards we’ll be making for the July In Color Club where the starring color will be…FRESH FIG! The club members will be receiving everything Fresh Fig in July… Cardstock, Ink Pad, refill, ribbon, marker, and the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack! Plus bows & glitter shapes just for signing up!
Would you like to join us? There’s still time! It’s a 5 month club where we focus on 1 In Color each month. For $40/month, you’ll have ALL THE IN COLOR SUPPLIES by October! If you can’t attend the club meetings, I’ll make up the cards for you & send them over with your In Color items for the month.
Now go to the SSINK Card Challenge 46 to see other samples. And just for fun, please enter our challenge! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Today’s theme for the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop is “It’s a Guy Thing”. Last week when I was sorting through my retired stamps, I was happy to see that Hardwood is still current! That set has just been sitting there for some reason & I’m determined to get a lot of use out of it!
I just love these 2 colors together: Soft Suede & Soft Sky! The large Happy Birthday needed something in the background. Gorgeous Grunge may be retired, but we still have Timeless Textures! There are some beautiful patterns in there!
Is the torn edge out of style? I don’t see it much, but I think it fits with this card.
When the retiring list came out, I was so relieved to see that Lovely As a Tree is still with us! Such a beautiful & versatile stamp set! The Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team is focusing on Masculine Cards today, and I reached for this set to make my card.
I used our new In Color, Tranquil Tide, for this card & I stamped off the background image first to make it a bit lighter. This is supposed to be a masculine card, but I pulled the sentiment from Beautiful You, a very girly stamp set. I think it works just fine.
Here’s a similar card without the stamping off.
Which one do you like best? I can’t decide. But I do know I love that tree!
I was in Honolulu last weekend for a wedding and managed to squeeze in some shopping at Ala Moana with my BFF Susie. We noticed tassles were everywhere!! Dresses, jeans, purses, shoes, & jewelry! How does Stampin’ Up! know this stuff??
Today I’m making a birthday card for the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team where the focus is on…you guessed it! Birthdays!
Can you tell I just opened my box of goodies from the brand new 2017-2018 Catalog?!!! I noticed the Happy Birthday stamp from the Label Me Pretty set. The best thing is that there’s a punch to match!!! Love my punches! Quick & easy!!
I think I like this one even better because of the Tranquil Tide Tassle from the Mini Tassles Assortment Set. The main colors in this card are Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay, & Emerald Envy & I really like how they go together!
One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that we get to pre-order new catalog items & play around with them before everyone else!! These will be available to everyone when the new catalog goes live on June 1st!
Which card do you like best? And who needs a new catalog?!! Let me know & I’ll set one aside for you!
Now be sure & go see what else the SSINK Team has come up with for birthdays!
There’s a new Card Sketch Challenge today at www.ssinkspiration.blogspot.com. I haven’t gotten Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper out of my system yet, and pulled it out again for this sketch. Here’s my card:
There are so many different looks you can achieve with this paper! And the stickers! But the best part of this suite is the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies! I just love that medallion with the Dapper Denim showing through!
I needed a Birthday Card & decided to add this sentiment from Window Shopping Stamp Set. That’s the set that goes with the Window Box Thinlits Dies. Don’t you love the font?!!
Make sure to check out what other ideas the SSINK Team has for this fun sketch!
Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation Team’s focus is on Retiring Designer Series Paper. I love lots of them and always have a hard time letting go!! Pop of Pink is so bright & pretty, so I’m choosing to focus on that today.
This beautiful paper is ON SALE FOR ONLY $7.80 (regular price $13).
Our Blog Hop Theme today is “It’s a Girl Thing”!! Love it! I could go many different directions with this one!
I’m so fortunate to have 2 daughters, Jenny & Malia. When they were little, I had a business called Lovebugs, & I used to make cute little outfits for them. You could never have too much glitter or pink! Never too many hearts or flowers! Here’s an old photo of them wearing one of my outfits:
I managed to use some pink, glitter, a flower, some bling and a doily for my girly card. Here it is!
Look closely and maybe you can find the sparkle…
Here’s the details in case you’d like to make one like it!
Stamps: Jar of Love & Special Reason
Ink: Basic Gray, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Soft Sky (5 1/2 X 11, score at 4 1/4), Melon Mambo (3 3/8 X 4 7/8), Daffodil Delight (3 1/8 X 4 5/8), Whisper White (4 1/2 X 3)
I’m so blessed to have my mom living right next door to me! She’s in a cute cottage with her Siamese Cat, Nella. I usually pop by once or twice a day to give her some fruit from the garden or some gardenias and we both just appreciate being close to each other. Here’s a fun photo of us before going out on a whale watch in Lahaina…From left: Mom, me, Malia (my youngest daughter) & Pat (husband & big stamping supporter!)
