You Send Me Soaring

Here’s a sneak peek of something from the New Occasions Catalog…and Sale-a-Bration!  Got the idea from Billie Moan on Stampin’ Connection.  Sky is the Limit is a Sale-a-Bration Set.  That means the set is FREE with any $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration! (Jan 5 – Mar 31).

  • Stamp Set:  Sky is the Limit
  • Colors:  Rose Red, Soft Suede, & Blushing Bride
  • Accessories:  Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper, Happy Heart Embossing Folder, Hearts Border Punch, Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit

Here’s another card…almost the same, but I used some Baker’s Twine left over from My Paper Pumpkin:

Here’s a tip:  Sometimes it’s difficult to adhere things to glimmer paper.  Crystal Effects always works great as a strong glue!

February Calendar Page

February is here! I’ve survived 1 month of working FT and have surprised myself by actually enjoying it! The only drawback seems to be…not much stampin’ time. Have to admit, I’ve been pretty spoiled!
I decided to do some embossing using Melon Mambo Embossing Powder. The stamp set comes from Hello Love, a Hostess Stamp. Hello LoveIt’s a great deal for just $13 when the total order comes to $150!
Hope this inspires you to drag out your embossing gun & have some fun with it!
Now you can jump over to Anne and Crystal‘s blogs to see what they’ve come up with for February!

Leave a reply in the box if you’d like Tutu’s recipe for almond cookies. My grandmother was a school teacher, first in Paia, then in Haleiwa, during WWII, and was a fabulous cook!!Tutu at church Here’s Tutu with my parents on one of her visits. An Old Favorite…

Yesterday some friends came over to watch the game. Claudine & I quickly navigated to my glorious, messy stamp room to make Valentines. We pulled out an old favorite DSP from Christmas a year ago. It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day cards! Soft & fuzzy!!IMG_8002

The sentiment is not retired! It’s a set called And Many More…And Many More...

I love stampin’ with friends! Claudine is one of my “old favorites”!IMG_6231

Easy Ghirardelli Treat Holder

Came up with this simple idea for holding Ghirardelli treats! easy treat holder easy treat holder 2

All the treat holders I’ve been seeing include making a small box.  They’re all very cute, but I wanted something very simple!  The Stretch Ruffle Trim is tied around the treat holder so that the treat doesn’t fall out!  No box.  No sticky strip.

Supply list:

Scallop Tag Topper Punch #133324

Crazy, Mixed Up Love Stamp Set #131071

Basic Rhinestones #119246

Crisp Cantaloupe Stretch Ruffle Trim #130021

Natural Trim #129287

Sweet Sorbet Accent Pack #133522 (Free SAB item!)

Envelope Punch Board #133744

Here are my directions:

1.  Cut card stock 2 X 8 1/2 ” (you can get 5 treat holders out of 1 sheet of CS).

2.  Score at 4 & 4 1/2 “.

3.  Use Scallop Tag Topper Punch to punch both ends.

4.  Fold, stick in the chocolate, & tie Stretch Ruffle Trim around to hold it closed.  IMG_4178

5.  Stamp design on 1 3/4 X 1 3/4″ square & round corners using Envelope Punch Board.

6.  Embellish as desired.

7.  Reward yourself with chocolate 🙂

Drop by my Open House tomorrow between 1-3pm & you can try making one!
