I’m so proud to be friends with Janna Hoehn, a woman from Wailea who is on a quest to find photos of every soldier who fell in Vietnam. So far she’s been featured in over 100 newspaper stories, and has found more than 1,400 photos of service members who lost their lives.
Last time I flew to Oahu, I was surprised to see an article about Janna in the Hawaiian Airlines Magazine, Hana Hou! Her dedication and perseverance is very inspiring to me!
So I made Janna a special card!
Here’s my patriotic Card in a Box for Janna. She received it yesterday & said it made her day!
Happy 50th Anniversary to a very special couple…Louella & Lew!! Louella’s one of my favorite people to stamp with! A very sweet person with a never-ending sense of humor. Could be one of the reasons she and Lew have been married for 50 years!
One of my patients, a member of the 100th Infantry Battalion, received the French Legion of Honor last week, France’s highest decoration!! What a fine man he is!! Wish I could share details about him, but you know, confidentiality & all that…
I dug through my Paper Pumpkin stuff & came up with the perfect card for him!
Isn’t this perfect?
The sentiment comes from Starburst Sayings. Here’s what it said on the inside:
A Big Thank You to all our military!!! We’re so proud & grateful to all of you for your many sacrifices!
I sent Abe a 3 month subscription of My Paper Pumpkin & this is what he wrote on Facebook: “I just finish my finals and I came home and was just going to go to bed and then I get this Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail from my Auntie Cheryl.
Now I am going to make stuff. It is so great and I am feeling crafty. hahahaaa”
Please ADD YOUR COMMENTS to this post to congratulate Abe on this huge accomplishment!! I’ll send your good wishes on to him!
Have fun making your kits this month! The next Paper Pumpkin Party (where you’re invited to bring your kits over so that we can make them together) will be Sunday, August 3rd. If you’d like to join us, just click on the Paper Pumpkin Picture on my blog & give it a try!
I’ll leave you with a picture of the “Party Girl!”
