Fancy Tic Tacs

Because I love 3-D items so much, my monthly Card Classes have changed to Cards, Etc. Classes!  In April the 3-D item was very simple…Fancy Tic Tacs!

Several people have asked for the directions, so here they are:

  • Stamps:  Butterfly Basics
  • Ink:  Bermuda Bay
  • Paper:  Sahara Sand (3 X 4 1/2, score at 1 7/8 from both ends), Vellum & Soft Sky Scraps
  • Accessories:  16″ Bermuda Bay Ribbon, Metallic Foil Doilies, Butterflies Thinlits, Softly Falling Textured Embossing Folder, Metal Rimmed Pearls Embellishments
  • Hints:  I used Tear & Tape to attach the ribbon & Tic Tacs to the paper.

Mark your calendars!  The May Cards, Etc. Classes are

Saturday, May 27th at 2 pm or Monday, May 29th at 10am.

Hope to see you there!  Cheryl

2 Step Stampin’ for March

The simplest way I know to make a quick but beautiful card is to use a stamp set that lets you 2-Step Stamp!  Simply layer one image over another using different colors!

You cannot buy this stamp set.  But you can get it FREE during Sale-A-Bration by placing a $50 order!  Sale-A-Bration runs through March 31st, so don’t wait too long!

The colors are Calypso Coral & Dapper Denim.  The little butterfly is found in one of my favorite sets, Butterfly Basics.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure & head over to Anne & Crystal’s blogs to see their March calendars.  And leave us a comment 🙂  We love those!

Featuring Falling In Love Suite…

I needed a Retirement Card and as I thumbed through my new Falling In Love Designer Series Paper, I noticed many beautiful papers that could be used for any occasion.  Don’t you just love the colors?!!

This is one of my favorite folds & you’ll see it again & again on my blog.  CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS.

Stampin’ Up! has the perfect Retirement Stamp Set!  Wild About Flowers.  Here’s a close up:

That’s 2-Step Stampin’!  One stamp for the stems (Sahara Sand).  Another for the flowers (Sweet Sugarplum).  Easy!  And notice the Gold Wink of Stella!

Originally I had planned to use the other side of the paper with the butterflies, but I changed my mind.  Here’s a picture of the butterfly side.

Which paper do you like best?  I keep going back & forth.

Sale-A-Bration is the perfect time to host a party!  Get some friends together and I’ll bring the projects!!  Always a fun time!!  And as hostess, you’ll earn free items!  It would be fun to have a Valentine’s Day Theme!  Contact me ASAP to reserve your date!

Be sure & hop over to the SSINK Team Site to see what they’ve done with this beautiful suite!  I had only pre-ordered the paper, but I see a stamp set called Falling For You, doilies, embellishments, and a beautiful embossing folder that are part of this set.  Maybe the design team will show us some of those goodies!

Maidenhair Fern Sympathy

My favorite fern has always been the Maidenhair Fern.  I’ve always enjoyed hiking and see many of those in the mountains of Hawaii.  Ginger is my other favorite!!  That & Plumeria are the most wonderful smelling flowers!!  Maybe Stampin’ Up! will create some ginger & plumeria stamps just for me!!

Butterflies for March

This month I’m using the 2 pretty Stamp Sets: Watercolor Wings & Butterfly Basics.  The Watercolor Wings set uses a technique called Two-Step Stamping that makes it simple to look like a real artist!  And it’s fun to see how many color combos you can come up with!

Colors I used for the calendar are Blushing Bride & Tip Top Taupe.

Now flutter on over to check out Anne & Crystal’s creations for March!
