This week the Global Design Project Theme is Amusement Park. There’s nothing that says Amusement Park more than the Carousel! I remember dashing to get on the ride & choosing the prettiest horse to ride on! Then waving to my people & feeling like a princess!
I couldn’t find a carousel picture, but here’s a couple of photos of Disneyworld with the girls…fun!!!
If I thought of it sooner, I would have done a teacup card!! Malia! How many times did you make Mom go on those teacups?!! I’m dizzy just looking at it!
Stamps: Carousel Birthday
Ink: Peekaboo Peach & Wisteria Wonder
Paper: Peekaboo Peach (5 1/2 X 11, scored at 4 1/2, & 3 X 4), Whisper White (5 1/4 X 4), Wisteria Wonder (5 1/8 X 3 7/8), Carried Away Designer Series Paper (5 1/8 X 1 3/4)
Accessories: Enamel Shapes
Don’t you love those 2 colors together?! And the enamel dots really add a lot! The Carried Away Designer Series Paper is FREE with any $50 order while Sale-A-Bration is happening… ends March 31st.
I just love the Cupcakes & Carousel Designer Series Paper Stack! The colors & designs are just gorgeous!! And I really like working with the size of the paper stacks (6 X 6). The Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Team is featuring this Suite today!
I needed another Congrats Card for a new team member (yea!!) and used Cupcakes & Carousel DSP Stack and the matching stamp set, Carousel Birthday. And just to tie it all together, I added some items from Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit!
I had to make a special card for this occasion, so I made this fun fold card. I think it’s called an “Explosion Card”.
This card is very simple to make! I’ll try to explain here:
Start with a 6 X 6 sheet of Designer Series Paper. Score at 3″. Turn & score at 3″.
Score diagonally down 1 side. Fold as shown in photos. Glue onto card base as shown.
Clear as mud?!! Hope you understand it! I plan to have a “Fun Folds Card Class” in March, so stay tuned…
The Baker’s Box is the perfect size for a stack of cookies or a cupcake or handful of chocolate (my favorite!)
I just love this sentiment & think I’ll use it a lot! It’s meant to be used on the inside of a card, I think, because it actually starts with the word “because”. First I inked up my stamp & tried to erase it using a blender pen. I still saw a shadow when I stamped it, so I had better luck just inking the stamp using my marker.
Hope you are inspired to get some of those Embellishments! They’re so much fun to work with!
Be sure and check out what the other gals on the SSINK Design Team have created! You’re sure to get some great ideas!!
