I really love my punches! And this card features 2 of my favorites: Pansy Punch & the new Decorative Label Punch! Actually, 3 PUNCHES! There’s also the Classic Label Punch!
I just love the way it turned out!! It started with the technique I showed you a few days ago called Ink, Spray, & Smash. That’s how I made that pretty background using ink drops on Glossy paper.
Sometimes when you make a mistake, or, in my case, can’t find something in this mess of a stamp room, you’re forced to be creative & the project turns out even better! I wanted to use the Pansy Punch because all I’ve been seeing is daisies! But my set, Flower Shop, is no where to be found! So I used the bunch of flowers from Window Box & punched it out with my Pansy Punch.
Love is in the air today, which you’ll see as you hop along with the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration team! You’re sure to get some great ideas & inspiration from these talented ladies. I feel very fortunate (and challenged!) to be a part of this group!
I want to show you all what we’ll be doing in my February Clubs! A set of notecards featuring Lift Me Up Stamp Set and the coordinating Designer Series Paper, Carried Away. This paper just happens to be FREE with any $50 order during Sale-A-Bration (going through March 31st). I saw this idea about a year ago from Mickey Roberts, but I can’t find the exact link…
Doesn’t this make a cute set!! Can’t wait until my club members see this!
Stamps: Lift Me Up
Inks: Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaroon, Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach
Paper: Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaroon, Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach Card Stocks (4 1/4 X 2), Carried Away Designer Series Paper (1 1/2 X 3 3/4 & 3 1/2 X 3/8)
We’re going to package them in these cute little tins. They don’t ship to Hawaii, but I HAD to have them!! Thanks to my brother, Gary, who lugged the big box on the plane last time when he flew over to see me & Mom. Shipping to Hawaii. You’d think it was another country! But that’s a whole other story…
Want to make one of these??! Come to club this month! 2 dates to choose from: Saturday, Feb. 11th at 2 pm or Sunday, Feb. 12th at 1 pm at my house in Haiku. To try it out, just place a $25 order that day! I’m prepping 3 extra, so hurry to reserve your spot!
As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left Melissa at Stop #7 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Blog Hop. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.
Well…it all started with our club swaps last month. Marylou made this beautiful card using the Starburst Technique, that I’d wanted to try but hadn’t gotten around to.
So this morning I dug through my tutorials and came up with a couple of cards.
I’ll be the first to admit this is a strange mixture of colors! But I like to step out of my comfort zone once in a while & I think it’s happy & it works! This was one of the free “Prize Patrol” items I won at convention: Flowerpot DSP!
Stamp Sets: Trust God, Bordering Blooms
Colors: Whisper White (5 1/4 X 4), Pink Pirouette (5 3/8 X 4 1/8)
Now, this one I really like!! I’d like to say that I meant to make the bottom crooked, but well, I was stampin’ in a hurricane. That’s my excuse! That’s another wonderful thing about my “hobby”… you can totally stamp, cut, & glue without electricity!! The flower is made by punching 3 flowers with my Pansy Punch, making 5 cuts down the middle of the petals, sticking a brad with a candy dot in the middle, then scrunching it up a little.
We’ll be making this card at club this weekend…assuming we have club! It’s all depending on these 2 hurricanes…I’ll keep you all posted.
Gotta hurry & post this before the lights shut off again!
Mark your calendars for the June Stamp-a-Stack! I’ll have 2 dates to choose from:
Saturday, June 21 from 10am – noon or Tuesday, June 24 from 2-4pm.
We’ll be making 4 cards with matching envelopes.
I’ve pulled out some of my new things to create this card. The rocking chair is a stamp called “You Rock”. So cute!! And I just LOVE the new Gold Soiree DSP!
This rocking chair looks just like the one I sat in many, many nights rocking my babies. I’ll be sending this to my daughter, Jenny, who did something very courageous last night to help out a stranger in need. I don’t want to share the details except to say that I’m very proud of her!! SHE ROCKS!!
Stamps: You Rock
Colors: Soft Suede, Pistachio Pudding(3 1/4 X 3 1/2), Whisper White (3 X 3 1/4), Tangelo Twist (3 1/4 X 3/4)
Accessories: Gold Soiree DSP (3 1/2 X 4), Decorative Label Punch, 1″ Circle Punch, Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack
Please RSVP for the class & let me know any card requests you have!
Here’s the grandchildren (my two are the girls), with my brother, Gary, in the upper corner. Now I need to make one for my mother-in-law…but I’m going to have a lot bigger garden growing inside that box!!
If you’d like to join my club, we’d love to have you! We meet once a month and the class is FREE! You have to purchase $25 worth of products each month & we rotate hostess benefits. When it’s your month, you’ll get lots of free goodies!! Just let me know if you’re interested. We have a club that meets Sunday afternoons in Pukalani & I may start a Saturday class.
Thanks for looking!
Oh…almost forgot! I want to thank 2 new friends I’ve found on Stampin’ Up! for helping me get inspired about blogging again. Check out their wonderful blogs!
