Special Card for Abe's Graduation!

I’m so proud of my nephew, Abe, who is graduating from college today!!!  His whole family moved to Roswell, NM for the year to support him- what great parents!  He’s worked very hard for this achievement!

Here’s a picture of Abe relaxing with his buddy in the dorm!

Isn’t that owl a hoot?!!! Ha ha ha!

I sent Abe a 3 month subscription of My Paper Pumpkin & this is what he wrote on Facebook:  “I just finish my finals and I came home and was just going to go to bed and then I get this Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail from my Auntie Cheryl.
Now I am going to make stuff. It is so great and I am feeling crafty. hahahaaa”

The Open Sea

It’s always a challenge to make “manly cards”.  Last night I opened my new package of Moonlight DSP Stack (in the new catalog available June 2) and LOVED IT!!  There are so many possibilities…the colors are beautiful and the patterns are modern and vintage-mixed.  Here’s the first card I came up with:

The only DSP you can see is the stripe on the right side.  Lost Lagoon (new In Color) is my new favorite color!!  The ship from The Open Sea is embossed in white.  This would make a nice birthday or Father’s Day card.

  • Stamps: The Open Sea
  • Colors:  Crumb Cake (5 1/2 X 7 1/2), Lost Lagoon (3 X 5 1/4), Sahara Sand
  • Accessories: Moonlight DSP Stack (3/4 X 5 1/4), Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Labels Collection Framelits, Natural Trim, Natural Composition Specialty DSP (retiring)

Love how the DSP is raised & shiny!  CLICK HERE to order some, before it’s gone!

I still have 2 spots open if you’d like to come to class tomorrow!  Here’s info on the class, if you’re interested.

Thanks for looking!  Cheryl

True confessions…

After losing several items I needed to use for my Candlelight Christmas Class this weekend, I’m on a mission to clean up my “Craft Closet of Chaos”!  Guess what I found?  Some Christmas bags from last year’s class…prepped, but not put together.  Come on, I’m sure some of you can relate…

Here’s the finished bag with some current updates:

I’m not sure why I ordered this stamp set, Open Sleigh, because it’s not really my style, and I live in Hawaii where there’s not a lot of sledding going on.  But I absolutely love it!  You know how some sets just stamp perfect images?  This is one of those.  And last year we didn’t have those marvelous framelits!!  So many possibilities!  The colors are Cherry Cobbler & Marina Mist.

Back to cleaning.  I’ll probably find the Valentine’s Day pile next!
