Cheerful Critters Meet Paper Pumpkin!

I had some leftovers from last month’s Paper Pumpkin kit, & decided to make another shaker card!  I had fun making several cards with these Cheerful Critters holding Shaker Signs!

Cheerful Critters Meet Paper Pumpkin

I’ve entered this card on My Pumpkin Challenge!

A Real Hero

One of my patients, a member of the 100th Infantry Battalion, received the French Legion of Honor last week, France’s highest decoration!! What a fine man he is!! Wish I could share details about him, but you know, confidentiality & all that…

I dug through my Paper Pumpkin stuff & came up with the perfect card for him!

Isn’t this perfect? IMG_8007
The sentiment comes from Starburst Sayings. Here’s what it said on the inside:
A Big Thank You to all our military!!! We’re so proud & grateful to all of you for your many sacrifices!

Shakin' Up! Paper Pumpkin

We have our monthly Paper Pumpkin Party this Thursday where PP Subscribers get together to make our kits. I always like to try to come up with some different ways to make the cards.IMG_8028

I love the shaker card, don’t you?! And they’ve prepped everything for us to make it so simple!

I came up with this next card by following Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.mojo381
I’ve used Washi Tape in the background. The Happy Birthday stamp was part of the Paper Pumpkin Kit. I’m entering these 2 cards in the Paper Pumpkin Challenge!

We’d love to have you join us at our Paper Pumpkin Party! We’re meeting Thursday, January 29 after work (~5pm) in Wailuku. Let me know if you want to check it out & I’ll bring some extras!

Paper Pumpkin Treat Bags!

This is my favorite Paper Pumpkin kit so far!!

I changed this one up a bit to use at my Thanksgiving table!  Found the idea on Glenda Calkin’s blog.  Then I added a button closure so that all the goodies won’t fall out!

IMG_6467I also made a few cards with the kit.  Found this idea on Katy McGloin’s blog.  Only thing I changed was to use my new Note Tag Punch.

IMG_6469I loved this card by Michelle Quinno, but didn’t have the Dots & Stripes Mask.  So, guess where my polka dots came from?!  There’s this leftover circle in the Chalk Talk Stamp Set!  I knew I’d find a use for it!

Last, but not least, I love this card made by Connie Babbert!  So I made my own version here:

Paper Pumpkin Night

Last Thursday my Paper Pumpkin Group got together & had lots of fun putting together the July kits!  Here they are busy creating…IMG_6281IMG_6219We made lots of cards, gift cards, & boxes, & had lots leftover.

Here’s a cute idea Loretta came up with:

IMG_6282Then Yvette had the brilliant idea to curve the words (you can do this with the Photopolymer sets!).  See how the “Thanks” is curved?!IMG_6288

Our Maui boxes apparently went on a wild goose chase & took forever to arrive!  But the good news is that we all received 2 July Paper Pumpkin boxes!  Then a day later, our August boxes arrived!!  I asked everyone if they wanted to wait to month to meet again (silly me!).  No way!  We plan to get together with our August boxes next Thursday night again.  I spent this morning putting mine together.  They’re really cute just as they are!

IMG_6283IMG_6284IMG_6285It comes with regular sized cards, little gift cards, and these adorable envelopes!!  And Strawberry Slush Sequins!IMG_6287It’s a perfect time to sign up for Paper Pumpkin!  50% off the next 2 months!

May Paper Pumpkin Ideas…

Here’s a few different ways you can make your May Paper Pumpkin kit:

This kit is very simple & cute!  Comes with the banner stickers and a Happy Birthday & Father’s Day stamp.  I added some Rich Razzelberry to jazz it up!  Makes a great masculine card!

Here’s the next card…

The kit also contained these candy dots & some twine.  And… a couple of small gift cards:

Simple & fun!

Come over tomorrow if you’d like to make your Paper Kits together.  Or if you’d just like to make up some of my old kits, that would be great!  FREE class is Monday, May 26 from 10-noon at my house in Haiku.  Hope to see you then!

Changing Up Paper Pumpkin

I had fun playing around with My Paper Pumpkin and decided that the “Wahoo!” was perfect for graduation.  So here’s a few ideas for you:

Pear Pizzaz and Wisteria Wonder are good together, don’t you think?   IMG_4798

I was trying to use up some of my DSP (to make room for new!).  I used Afternoon Picnic.IMG_4799

The stamp sets are Pomp & Circumstance and the Wahoo! and You Did It! came inside my Paper Pumpkin Box, along with the card base, envelopes, mini file folder shapes, as well as some buttons & things I’ll save for later.  So simple to put together & fun to jazz up!!

Paper Pumpkin Mar 2014 Paper Pumpkin Mar 2014 5My daughter, Jenny used markers to color the thank you. The kit also contained a stack of those gold sparkly dots you Paper Pumpkin Mar 2014 6I like this one!  I used  Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape, Gold Baker’s Twine, and punched stars from the shiny envelope liner.
