Last week we had a fun meeting with the Maui Stampers Group. Anne Matasci, my upline, presented me with this pretty lei to congratulate me for earning the Alaska Trip! She’s been my cheerleader the whole time and I really appreciate her encouragement, tips, and friendship. Anne, you’re the best!

Most of you are as addicted to stamping as I am!! I really don’t have to sell anything- you guys are so easy! Ha! I’ve made life long friends through stamping!

1st Birthdays are BIG in Hawaii!! The family throws a baby luau and hundreds of people normally attend. Great music & tons of local food!
So I’ve had a few requests for a 1 year old Birthday card. Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper is so cute and goes with Pieces & Patterns Stamp Set. I’ve paired it with Number of Years & coordinating Large Numbers Framelits to make this cute card.
Isn’t that fun?!! Here’s the inside:

I’m so proud to be friends with Janna Hoehn, a woman from Wailea who is on a quest to find photos of every soldier who fell in Vietnam. So far she’s been featured in over 100 newspaper stories, and has found more than 1,400 photos of service members who lost their lives.
Last time I flew to Oahu, I was surprised to see an article about Janna in the Hawaiian Airlines Magazine, Hana Hou! Her dedication and perseverance is very inspiring to me!
So I made Janna a special card!
Here’s my patriotic Card in a Box for Janna. She received it yesterday & said it made her day!
I made this brand new journal last week & hope to use it all year. My friend & upline, Anne, came over & we crafted & brainstormed. My word for this year is FOCUS. I tend to overschedule myself and get stressed out. I’m hoping I can FOCUS on the thing I’m doing, or on the person I’m with.
I’m mainly thinking about my mom. She lives in my cottage & has recently stopped driving. So that means she depends on me a lot. Sometimes trips into town with her take a long time & I’m impatiently thinking of all the other things I need to be doing. I’ll bet a lot of you would love to have this problem & have your mom with you! I’m so fortunate to have my mom close by!
Be present. Or be a presentto the person I’m with.
