I love the sketch this week from Freshly Made Sketches and I’m really happy with the card I came up with!

Build a Birthday

I’m having so much fun playing around with my new stamps!  For this card, I used the new set:  Build a Birthday!

IMG_9110I love how this cake fills up the whole front of the card!  I used scraps of Cherry on Top DSP Stack for the cake.

Scrap dimensions:

2 3/4 X 3/4

2 1/2 X 3/4

2 1/4 X 3/4

Found the idea for this card here .

Thanks for checking in with me!  Hope you get to do a little stampin’ today!

3-D Gift for my Secret Sistah

We had a fabulous time on our Creative Escape Weekend on Oahu!  A group of my stampin’ ladies flew over for this fun weekend and met up with my Oahu friend, Jayne.  We had lots to do to prepare, but it was so worth it to receive all our beautiful gifts!

Here’s my 3-D item:

Createwithcheryl.me 3-DDon’t you just love the little bow?  Here’s the inside:

Cut CS at 3 1/4 X 8 1/2.

Score at 1 3/4, 2 1/4, 5 1/2, & 6.

Scallop the end by the 6″ score line using Scallop Border Punch.

DSP is cut at 3 1/4 X 2 1/4 & 3 1/4 X 1 3/4 (cut 2 of these).

Bow Builder Punch & Velcro Dots to secure the flap shut.

This was CASED from Anne Lewis.  She added a small calendar to the inside flap…great idea!

Today we’re attending Birthdays & Blessings, an event to support Hope Lodge Hawaii.  We’re so excited because the presenters are demonstrators that are in Hawaii for the incentive trip!  Linda Bauwin, Dawn Griffith, Pam Morgan, & Ronda Wade.  I’ll share more on this event in a few days!

Class of 2015

Class of 2015 CardHere’s one of the cards we made at club this weekend.  A graduation card that holds money- exactly what they need most!

Createwithcheryl.me Class of 2015

Open it up and it looks like a file folder.  The Night of Navy is beautiful embossed in Silver.  I bought the Confetti Stars Border Punch especially for this card!  So glad I did!

Here are the details:

  • Paper:  Night of Navy -8 1/2 X 9 3/4- (save the extra piece to punch the confetti stars on) then score at 3 1/2 & 7 being careful to score along the shortest side, Brushed Silver (8 1/2 X 1 3/4)
  • Stamps:  Class of 2015, BYOP
  • Extras:  Silver Embossing Powder, Square Framelits (first I punched out #6 square, embossed it, then cut it again with #5 square to leave you some margin for being crooked), Confetti Stars Border Punch, Dimensionals to pop up the front sentiment, Envelope punch board:  punch the left inside corner then punch again at 3″.

Happy May Day (Lei Day in Hawaii!)

Time just flies by… Here’s my May calendar page.

Createwithcheryl.me May 2014I used a retired set called Happy Watercolor to make this image.  I really like the sentiment…might have to keep this stamp set.  I really struggle with the retiring sets and have to put them aside for a year or two before I can part with them!  The good news is…there’s always something new (& wonderful!).  The New Catalog will be available June 2nd!!
