#SSINKCC40 Pineapple in the Window

ssinkcc40-create-with-cherylStylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation has a Color Challenge today!  And I’m loving these colors!!  Old Olive.  Flirty Flamingo.  Sahara Sand.

I haven’t made a Window Card in a while, & they’re one of my favorites!  So I went for a Hawaiian Window Theme.

I’ll list the ingredients here:

  • Botanical Blooms
  • Pop of Paradise
  • Hearth & Home Thinlits
  • Botanical Builder Framelits
  • Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • Wink of Stella Gold
  • Very Vanilla 1/2″ Lace Trim

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Please leave me a comment & let me know what you think of my card…  What’s in your window this time of year?  What’s actually in my window is lots of avocados & lilikoi!!  Making more lilikoi jelly this week and lots of guacamole… lucky me!

Now head on over to the SSINK Page & see what the other girls have made using these gorgeous colors!

Poppin’ Pineapples!

Pineapples are a big thing here on Maui!  They’re sweet & delicious & one of my favorite things to snack on.

Anyone ever had that Pineapple Whip at Disneyland?!!  On a hot day after riding on the crazy Jungle Cruise?  Yum!!

Pineapples are also a symbol for hospitality and welcome!

Today the theme is “Friday Favorites” at Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration!

The background paper is Pop of Pink Specialty DSP.  I’ve used most of it up for pink & black cards, but love the gold with the pineapple!

Card Details:

  • Stamps:  Pineapple, A World of Thanks
  • Ink:  Night of Navy, Crushed Curry
  • Paper:  Night of Navy Card Base (4 1/4 X 11, score at 5 1/2), Gold Foil Sheet (5 1/4 X 4), Pop of Pink Specialty DSP (5 X 3 3/4)
  • Accessories:  Wink of Stella- Gold
  • Tips:  Yes, I had to fussy cut the pineapple!  Leave a little tag on the spikey leaf part to glue to the base.  Then I popped it up using dimensionals.

Here’s another card.  Same DSP but different stamp set:  Pop of Paradise

Hope you enjoyed my cards today!  Be sure & check out the SSINK Team Friday Favorites!

Birthday Wishes for SR#332

This week’s Stampin’ Royalty Challenge is to create a project using flowers!  What fun!  Where do I start?  Well, I wanted to use some of my brand new stamps, so I found a cute little flower from the Swirly Bird set.

I think my favorite thing about this card is the colors!!  Sweet Sugarplum, Tip Top Taupe & Mint Macaron.

Stampin’ Royalty: Stampin’ Royalty Challenge SR#332 is where I found the inspiration for my card.

New In Colors!

I’ve only had time to make 2 cards since I opened my box of  items from the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog.  I’ve been working way too much & can’t wait until the weekend when I should have a little more time to play.

Playful Palette Create With Cheryl

Don’t you love these new In Colors?!!  This is Peekaboo Peach & Sweet Sugarplum.  I had a piece of Cherry Cobbler on my desk & added that.  Wasn’t sure if it would work, but I like it.

You’ll be seeing a lot of this pineapple!  It’s from a new stamp set called Pop of Paradise.  The new ribbon comes in all the new In Colors & is called Ruched Ribbon.  I had to look up ruched & it means “gathering or pleating”.  So now we know.  It’s kind of crinkly.

The Designer Series Paper is called Playful Palette & had beautiful colors & patterns!

Mark your calendars for the May Card Classes!

Saturday, May 28 at 2pm or Tuesday, May 31 at 3pm.

We’ll make 4 different cards with envelopes to match for $10 (or FREE with your $20 order placed that day).

Hope to see you there!
