Pop of Pink Favorite Retiring Designer Series Paper

Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation Team’s focus is on Retiring Designer Series Paper.  I love lots of them and always have a hard time letting go!!  Pop of Pink is so bright & pretty, so I’m choosing to focus on that today.

This beautiful paper is ON SALE FOR ONLY $7.80 (regular price $13).

ORDER HERE before it’s gone!  There’s also Washi Tape to match!

I chose this paper to make a card for one of my downline.  I think of Francine as a Melon Mambo type of girl… flashy, fun, enthusiastic!  Francine just promoted to Bronze Elite!  25% discounts!!!  Woohoo!

Here’s the card I made to celebrate her achievement:

This is called a Joy Fold Card.  Here’s what it looks like opened up:

Fun card!  I’m sure I’ll be featuring this in a class very soon…

Here’s Francine with some of her swaps.  We look forward to Francine’s swaps because they usually are 3-D and contain candy!!

Announcing: Cards, Etc. Classes!

I LOVE making cards!  Everyone who knows me knows me knows that my favorite place is my craft room (AKA:  Creation Station).  I usually make cards, and when I’m done coming up with something new, there tends to be an explosion of paper, ribbon, & embellishments.

What I enjoy making even more is something 3-D!  Boxes & bags are so much fun to make & to give away!  So, this year in place of my monthly card classes, I’ll offer Cards, Etc. Classes!  Starting this weekend!  We’ll be making 3 cards with matching envelopes, plus a 3-D item!

Here’s my 3-D for January:

I’m hoping everyone will love making these!  Simple to make!  Fun to give!

January Cards, Etc. Classes will be Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2pm or Monday, Jan 30 at 10am.  Cost is $10 or FREE with your $20 order placed that day.

RSVP soon to hold your spot in class!

Poppin’ Pineapples!

Pineapples are a big thing here on Maui!  They’re sweet & delicious & one of my favorite things to snack on.

Anyone ever had that Pineapple Whip at Disneyland?!!  On a hot day after riding on the crazy Jungle Cruise?  Yum!!

Pineapples are also a symbol for hospitality and welcome!

Today the theme is “Friday Favorites” at Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration!

The background paper is Pop of Pink Specialty DSP.  I’ve used most of it up for pink & black cards, but love the gold with the pineapple!

Card Details:

  • Stamps:  Pineapple, A World of Thanks
  • Ink:  Night of Navy, Crushed Curry
  • Paper:  Night of Navy Card Base (4 1/4 X 11, score at 5 1/2), Gold Foil Sheet (5 1/4 X 4), Pop of Pink Specialty DSP (5 X 3 3/4)
  • Accessories:  Wink of Stella- Gold
  • Tips:  Yes, I had to fussy cut the pineapple!  Leave a little tag on the spikey leaf part to glue to the base.  Then I popped it up using dimensionals.

Here’s another card.  Same DSP but different stamp set:  Pop of Paradise

Hope you enjoyed my cards today!  Be sure & check out the SSINK Team Friday Favorites!

One of my favorite people is in the hospital in Honolulu, so I made her a card to cheer her up!  I used the  #SSINKCS35: Card Sketch Challenge to come up with the idea!
