On Saturday we headed to the Marriott to attend an event called Birthdays & Blessings that was a fundraiser for ACS Hope Lodge. It was like a mini convention, with the excitement, swapping, and speakers, and Make ‘n Takes!
We had a fabulous time on our Creative Escape Weekend on Oahu! A group of my stampin’ ladies flew over for this fun weekend and met up with my Oahu friend, Jayne. We had lots to do to prepare, but it was so worth it to receive all our beautiful gifts!
Here’s my 3-D item:
Don’t you just love the little bow? Here’s the inside:
Cut CS at 3 1/4 X 8 1/2.
Score at 1 3/4, 2 1/4, 5 1/2, & 6.
Scallop the end by the 6″ score line using Scallop Border Punch.
DSP is cut at 3 1/4 X 2 1/4 & 3 1/4 X 1 3/4 (cut 2 of these).
Bow Builder Punch & Velcro Dots to secure the flap shut.
This was CASED from Anne Lewis. She added a small calendar to the inside flap…great idea!
Here’s one of the cards we made at club this weekend. A graduation card that holds money- exactly what they need most!
Open it up and it looks like a file folder. The Night of Navy is beautiful embossed in Silver. I bought the Confetti Stars Border Punch especially for this card! So glad I did!
Here are the details:
Paper: Night of Navy -8 1/2 X 9 3/4- (save the extra piece to punch the confetti stars on) then score at 3 1/2 & 7 being careful to score along the shortest side, Brushed Silver (8 1/2 X 1 3/4)
Stamps: Class of 2015, BYOP
Extras: Silver Embossing Powder, Square Framelits (first I punched out #6 square, embossed it, then cut it again with #5 square to leave you some margin for being crooked), Confetti Stars Border Punch, Dimensionals to pop up the front sentiment, Envelope punch board: punch the left inside corner then punch again at 3″.
And congratulations to all the graduates out there! Special shout-out to Serena!!!
The flower image on the Indescribable Gift Stamp Set is so beautiful!! Perfect for stamping on vellum!
The idea for this beautiful card comes from Becky Cowley. I stamped the image with Momento Ink and then colored it using Blendabilities. You could also use your markers or Blender Pen. I turned the image over to give it a softer look.
Here’s a different look in blue:
In the background, you can see “happily ever after”. I’ve used Big News and Blessed By God for the sentiments and done some Gorgeous Grunging!
Please leave me a comment! Tell me if you’d like to make any of my cards in a class or at club, and I’ll make sure and add them to the menu…
