There’s a new Card Sketch Challenge today at www.ssinkspiration.blogspot.com. I haven’t gotten Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper out of my system yet, and pulled it out again for this sketch. Here’s my card:
There are so many different looks you can achieve with this paper! And the stickers! But the best part of this suite is the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies! I just love that medallion with the Dapper Denim showing through!
I needed a Birthday Card & decided to add this sentiment from Window Shopping Stamp Set. That’s the set that goes with the Window Box Thinlits Dies. Don’t you love the font?!!
Make sure to check out what other ideas the SSINK Team has for this fun sketch!
I grew up on Oahu and had acres and acres of pineapples growing right behind my house in Waipio Valley. I remember chasing around those fields after school with my dog running beside me. And they’re easy to grow! Every time I buy a pineapple & just stick the top in the ground & it will produce a pineapple the next year!
Stampin’ Up! is retiring my Pineapples!! And the Mahalo!! I’m sure I won’t be getting rid of those…they come in handy here on Maui!
Stamps: Pineapple, Pop of Paradise, A World of Thanks (ALL RETIRING!)
Ink: Delightful Dijon & Pacific Point
Paper: Pacific Point (4 1/4 X 11, score at 5 1/2 & 1 1/4 X 5), Whisper White (5 1/4 X 4 & 1 X 1 3/4 & 1 X 2 7/8)
Accessories: Gold Wink of Stella (RETIRING!), Linen Thread
Look what I did with my stamp! Took a little courage, but I’m happy with the results!
Now it’s super fast to stamp with 2 colors!
Thanks for stopping by! And be sure & pick up some Gold Wink of Stella and other retiring items before they’re gone forever! SHOP RETIRING PRODUCTS!
There’s a new Suite in town!! Available June 1st- Eastern Palace Suite. And it’s gorgeous!! Especially the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies!
Fun new colors & the tassels are so cute! This is a Double Gate Fold Card that I made for my downline who promoted! My downline (Maui Big Shots!) are so enthusiastic & fun!! Love them all! This was for Linda Z, who just promoted to Bronze Elite & will earn 25% discounts now! Woohoo! The more you spend, the more you save, Linda!! That’s what I tell my husband, anyway!
Here’s a few of my downline, the Maui Big Shots! with some swaps. Linda’s in the middle, with the blue shirt.
Linda’s a classy gal with a business background, who’s also a Master Gardener! She’s busy with so many things and recently she’s started having her own card classes! Her cards are beautiful with great directions, and everyone has a great time! Pretty soon I’m thinking she’ll have her own blog…
I made this card with Linda in mind, thinking of how she’s transformed her whole yard into a beautiful garden!
You’re sure to see many more pictures with this pretty Designer Series Paper, Eastern Palace. Check out what ideas the other SSINK Team Members have come up with using this beautiful suite!
Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation Team has a new challenge. I was determined to use my new Eastern Palace Suite Products and I managed to pair them with a girl holding an umbrella. Beautiful You. Here’s what I came up with:
I wasn’t sure about the Eastern Palace Suite at first, but I’m a sucker for getting things early!! The colors are fun & bright and the best thing is the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies!! Don’t you love that cut-out circle!! And I love the new InColor, Lemon Lime Twist!!
Also, this is sort of a new fun fold card. I’ll give directions here:
Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock (new!) 5 1/2 x 11, score at 4 1/4, then cut off 2 1/4
DSP for flap (5 1/4 X 1 3/4)
Front image: Cardstock (4 1/4 X 3) & Very Vanilla (4 X 2 3/4)
Did you notice that gold border on the bottom? Those are beautiful Gold Vinyl Stickers!
Can you help me come up with a name for this fun fold?!! I’ll make a set of cards for the person who comes up with the name I choose!! Just leave your comment below!
Time to head over to the SSINK page to see what the others have come up with for this challenge!
Allelujah! Christ is risen! Easter is the most important celebration for Christians and I wanted to make a banner to remind me and others in my home about this wonderful event!
It’s challenging for me to get a good photo of this project, but I hope you get the idea. Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper makes a pretty background for my banner. I just added some coordinating cardstock, some Easter Stamps and butterfly punches. Don’t you just love how all the Stampin’ Up! products coordinate so nicely!
Here’s a closer look:
Notice the sparkle on the cloth draped over the cross! Wink of Stella!
Love the Butterflies Thinlits, especially with a Vellum butterfly on top!
The supplies for this project are listed at the bottom of this post. Most of them are RETIRING PRODUCTS, so be sure to grab them now before they’re gone!!
The Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation team has Spring Fever! Thanks for joining us today to see what says “Spring” to all of us!
Spring had me reaching for the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper, which is covered with gorgeous floral designs. The best thing about it is the colors! You’ve got the pinks & purples and then there’s the blues & greens. Today I’ll be playing around with the blue/green papers.
I made a Double Gate Fold Card, which shows off this paper beautifully!
I just love it!! I added that small circle with the flower on the right & stuck it on using a Dimensional. It’s meant to tuck the large circle underneath to secure it.
There’s a coordinating Stamp Set (of course!) called Blooms & Wishes. I love how Stampin’ Up! has papers, stamps, and colors that all coordinate!!
Here’s another version I made that steps it up a bit:
Can you find the difference? No wasted DSP here! And look when it’s opened!
Here’s some basic directions for the Double Gate Fold Card:
Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 12″ piece of Designer Paper (easier if you use paper without “up & down”
Score at 2″, 4″, 8″, & 10
With a ruler make a mark up the 5 1/2″ side of the paper at 2 3/4″ on both sides
Cut from this mark to the second score line on both sides
Flip the cut off triangle over and adhere on the bottom of the card, allowing you to see both sides of the beautiful paper
Inside: Cut Card stock 5 ¼ X 3 ¾ & top with Whisper White 5 X 3 ½
If you’d rather follow along in class to make this card, come to one of my April Cards, Etc. Classes!
2 dates to choose from:
Monday, April 24th at 10 am or
Saturday, April 29th at 2 pm
Now hop on over to see what Nichole has made for our Spring Fever Hop!
Today the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspriation Design Team has a new Card Sketch Challenge SSINKCS#44 and we hope you’ll play along!
I pulled out the gorgeous Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper to come up with this card:
When I first saw this paper, I felt lukewarm towards it, probably because it only has Night of Navy & Whisper White. I’m drawn to the colorful, mostly pastel Designer Series Papers. But I finally bought a pack of Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper with the corresponding stamp set, Floral Phrases, and now it’s probably my favorite! It’s so beautiful & elegant!
Here’s a close up look at that flower. Notice the light & dark in that stamp.
Have I sold you on it? 🙂 What’s your favorite Designer Series Paper?
I love a challenge! And anytime I use Perfect Plum it’s challenging for me!! That color just sits there waiting to be noticed by me. In face, my upline, Anne Matasci and I started a Purple Plum Color Challenge with each other on Pinterest that we haven’t bothered with for over a year. So I’m reviving the challenge, Anne!!
That brings me to today’s Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Color Challenge SSINKCC#43.
I just dove right in & hated the colors when I started, but now I think it really works!!
In fact, I really like it a lot!! Where’s the plum? It’s in the sentiment and the dark color on the roses.
I was in a hurry this morning and decided to CASE one of my own cards.
Remember this gorgeous DSP and Everything Eleanor?!!
Here are the measurements so that you can CASE it, too!
Stamps: Picture Perfect
Ink: Melon Mambo & Perfect Plum
Paper: Whisper White Card Base (5 1/2 X 11, scored at 4 1/4 and 4 1/2 X 1 3/4), Tip Top Taupe (5 1/4 X 4, 2015 – 2017 In Color DSP Stack (4 1/4 X 1 3/4), Melon Mambo (4 1/4 X 2)
Be sure and check out what other great ideas the SSINK Team comes up with for combining these colors! And join us by adding your card in the color challenge SSINKCS#43!
Hi everyone! I’m taking over the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Blog today where I get to tell you about myself!
I was raised in Hawaii (my dad was a minister who worked with servicemen & women on Oahu) and love the beach, hiking, and all the local culture & food! I became a Pediatric Nurse, starting in Honolulu, then moving to Colorado because I’d never seen snow. That was quite an experience: learning to dress for cold weather, drive on icy roads, & to ski- which I love! Met my husband, Pat, when he was a surgical resident at Denver Children’s. We ended up on Maui about 30 years ago, where we raised our 2 daughters, Jenny & Malia.
Jenny got married a few months ago & she’s a nurse on a trauma unit in Texas. Malia graduated from UT, Austin, and will soon be heading to Syracuse, NY to work with refugees.
Oh, can’t forget my pride & joy, Swiffer!
I’ve always enjoyed crafting! I first got into stamping when Jenny was in preschool. Once a week, my friend, Wendy, & I would drop the kids off then head over to her house for a morning of stamping fun! I remember getting so excited when I discovered you could stamp with different colors. Everything was 1 layer back then. But just like skiing on the Bunny Hill is exciting when you start out, every card we made was exciting & fun!
I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for about 6 years now & I just love it! Being creative is fun & relaxing, but it’s the friendships I’ve made that have been an unexpected bonus! I’ve been a part of the SSINK Design Team since last year. It’s a huge challenge for me and quite an honor. Everyone on the team has been so encouraging and helpful!
I’m not sure how to describe my style. My favorite type of card is a “Fun Fold”. I’ll show you a few that I’ve made:
Before I go, here’s my latest project. I was inspired by these new stamps I found at the Post Office!
Matched up the cardstock with the stamps: So Saffron, Mint Macaron, Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, Early Espresso, & Chocolate Chip, and reached for the Cool Treats Suite!
