Today I’m showing off a card I made using a beautiful new stamp set from the Occasions Catalog, called Golden Afternoon. You don’t have to do much except stamp to make a very pretty card.
Golden Afternoon
Isn’t that a gorgeous image?! I can’t wait to try watercoloring and embossing.
Dry Embossing
Speaking of embossing, the embossing done on this card is called Dry Embossing or Textured Embossing. This technique creates a raised surface on the cardstock by using Textured Impressions Embossing Folders and running them through the Big Shot. It’s one of my favorite techniques!!
Heat Embossing
Heat Embossing or Wet Embossing involves using a wet ink and embossing powder and heat setting it. Heat embossing provides a slightly dimensional, raised effect and gives an elegant look to your cards. I’ll be showing you this technique soon.
Notice our new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies! And Old Olive Linen Thread!
If you’d like to make this card (along with 7 other different cards!) join us at our Stamp a Stack this Saturday, January 19th at 1:00 pm.
