Aloha and welcome to another edition of the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Today our theme is a Tic Tac Toe Challenge.
I’m thrilled to be hopping today with twenty talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator friends from across the globe. This special blog hop spans twelve time zones, stretching from New Zealand to Hawaii, bringing creativity from every corner of the world right to your screen.
Today we’ll be focusing on one of our team members: Aurelie Fabre! Here is the project I chose to CASE from her:
Aurelie’s is actually a mini album that holds a bunch of cards. I’ve simplified mine to make a card.
Here’s the card I came up with…
For my Tic Tac Toe: I went with the top row across.
Shadow: the stamping- stamping the leaves and then stamping again without re-inking.
Circle: the wreath.
Texture: all the die cuts and the little berries.
I’ve been inspired recently to make my own Designer Series Paper by my talented team member, Barb Salez. Barb has given several classes showing us how creative we can be with this technique, and I gave it a try with this card. So much fun – it’s hard to stop!
Here are a couple of photos to show you this process. I started with some background words, then leaves, and finally some blossoms & dots.
I’ve still got 3/4 of the paper left! I’ll make a few more cards with it and show them to you soon.
I love how this card turned out! Thank you, Aurelie, for the inspiration!
Don’t forget to continue the hop to see what my fellow demonstrators have CASED from Aurelie Fabre.
Mahalo for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Oh fabulous project and Case Cheryl. The background paper is amazing! xxx
Thank you, Cheryll!
Gorgeous holiday card — and I love that you did a wreath for circle! Great CASE of Aurélie too!
Thanks so much, Kelly!
What a beauty! It’s a stunning background. I love the artistic control you can take back when you make your own.
Thanks Chris! Yes, it’s so much fun to make a background like that.
I’m blown away by the work you’ve done!
My project may be a mini album but it contains paper, whereas you have your own for your card! – By the way, I remember I had a lot of trouble finalizing the binding on this one – it’s such an amazing piece of work! Bravo and thank you from the bottom of my heart, I’m blown away! xx
It was such a pleasure to CASE one of your beautiful cards, Aurelie!! I’m so pleased that you approve! Thank you!
I love the process of creating that beautiful background. Such a beautiful card!
Thanks Teri! Making a background like that is really fun… hard to stop!
Fabulous CASE! I like the strong colours you’ve chosen and the stamped DSP you made is awsome. 🙂
Thanks Jan!
Gorgeous card! I’m definitely inspired to make some DSP! Love it!
Thanks Lori! Give it a try!
