Aloha Stampers!
I’m excited to share a masculine card today that’s all about texture and earthy tones. Masculine cards can be a little tricky sometimes—we want something that’s still beautiful, but not overly floral or flashy. This design hits the mark with its neutral color palette and rugged, woven look.
Featuring:
Woven Textures Designer Series Paper
The Right Words stamp set
This card layers several patterns from the Woven Textures DSP, creating a striking background full of depth and interest. These rich, realistic textures remind me of baskets, burlap, and woodgrain—perfect for that outdoorsy or rustic vibe.
To complement the background, I used a sentiment from The Right Words stamp set:
“I know a good thing when I see it and I see lots of good things in you.”
Isn’t that just the perfect message for a thoughtful guy in your life?
Design Details:
-
Card base: Crumb Cake
-
Layers: Early Espresso and Woven Textures DSP (3/4″ strips)
-
Focal circle die: Die-cut with Spotlight on Nature Dies (you NEED these!)
-
Accents: Neutral die-cut leaves and a few elegant pearls to finish it off
This layout would be great for birthdays, encouragement, or even Father’s Day. It’s a wonderful reminder that a “masculine” card doesn’t have to be plain—just grounded in strong design and meaningful words.
If you’re like me and sometimes struggle with card ideas for the men in your life, give this one a try!
