Aloha Stampers!
Today I’m excited to share one of the swaps I made for OnStage, and it also happens to show you exactly why I’m getting obsessed with Two-Toned Cardstock.
For this card, I embossed Timid Tiger Two-Toned Cardstock using the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder, then lightly sanded the surface. That simple step brings out the lighter core of the cardstock and adds so much texture and interest. Isn’t that neat? Such an easy technique with a big payoff!
✨ Sanding Tip
Use a fine-grit sanding block or sanding sponge and apply very light pressure. You only want to remove the top layer of color so the lighter core peeks through. Start gently — you can always sand more, but you can’t put it back!
I paired it with soft florals and a simple sentiment from the Cutest Crew stamp set to keep the focus on the texture — perfect for swaps and handmade cards that wow without being complicated.
Here are the dimensions for this card:
-
Thick Basic White: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4
-
Cloud Cover: 5 1/4 X 4
-
Florals in Bloom DSP: 3 3/4 across x 2 1/4 high
-
Timid Tiger Two-Toned Cardstock: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4
