Aloha Stampers!
I love finding ways to stretch my Designer Series Paper, and today’s card features one of my favorite tricks! By cutting two pieces of Valley in Bloom Designer Series Paper diagonally, flipping one of the pieces over, then cutting the papers together on a diagonal, you can create two beautiful cards.
Not only is this a great way to get more from your favorite DSP, but the reverse side coordinates perfectly, giving each card a unique look while keeping the same layout. It’s an easy technique that saves paper and creates a fun design element at the same time.
For this card, I used the delicate Lily of the Valley Stamp Set paired with coordinating colors that complement the Designer Series Paper beautifully. The layered circles cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies create a wonderful focal point, while the Peaceful Pine 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon adds softness and texture. A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels finish the card with just the right amount of sparkle.
One of my favorite things about this layout is how versatile it is. Change the Designer Series Paper, sentiment, or embellishments, and you’ll have a completely different card. It’s a wonderful design to keep in your “go-to” collection!
Pass it on
Never underestimate the power of a friendly card. After you’ve recreated some of the cards you’ve seen, pass them on to someone who you think could use some love and attention!
