I made this card while experimenting with the new system, and I couldn’t stop smiling as I peeled away the foil to reveal that gorgeous metallic shine. It’s one of those techniques that’s surprisingly easy, but the finished results look extra special.
For my sample card, I started by stamping the background with the Echoes of Detail stamp set (#170046) in Hydrangea Hue. Next, I used the coordinating Echoes of Detail Hot Foil Die with silver foil to add the beautiful metallic pattern behind the greeting. The Celebrate greeting was foiled using the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies (#170048), then die cut and layered for extra dimension. To finish the design, I added a few silver rings cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I love how the silver foil catches the light and adds just the right amount of shine!

Instead of cutting shapes like traditional dies, the Hot Foil System uses specially designed Hot Foil Plates and metallic foil to transfer beautiful foil designs onto cardstock.
