Painted Patch for More Than Fall

Welcome to the ICS Blog Hop! This month we’re sharing projects featuring products from the new catalog, and I chose the Painted Patch Designer Series Paper and Painted Pumpkins Bundle.
When you first see pumpkins and fall-themed paper, it’s easy to immediately think Halloween or Thanksgiving. But I wanted to show you that these products can be used for so much more!
For today’s hop, I made two cards that have a pretty fall feeling without being tied to a particular holiday.
Pretty Fall Colors
One of the things that first caught my eye about the Painted Patch Designer Series Paper was the color combination. It includes some beautiful colors like:
Calypso Coral
Golden Glow
Barely Blush
Highland Heather
I especially love how the softer pinks and purples give traditional fall colors a completely different look.
On my first card, I used one of the more geometric patterns and added some delicate leafy die cuts around the simple “Hey” greeting. It’s an easy card that could be sent for almost any reason—or no reason at all!
Pumpkins Aren’t Just for Halloween
For the second card, I couldn’t resist those colorful pumpkins! I cut several of them directly from the Designer Series Paper and layered them around the greeting.
“I hope your day is fabulous” makes this a fun card to send to a friend for a birthday, celebration, or simply to brighten their day.
And did you notice that ribbon? The Calypso Coral Copper Ribbon adds just the right amount of sparkle. I love that little bit of shine against all of these softer colors.
🌺 Crafty Tip: When you see seasonal Designer Series Paper, look beyond the theme and pay attention to the individual patterns and colors. You may be surprised how easily you can use it for cards all year long!
