Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own handmade cards but weren’t sure where to begin? I’m offering a FREE Beginner Card Making Class on Saturday, October 17, and I’d love to have you join me!
One of my favorite things about teaching stamping is watching someone finish a card, hold it up, and realize, “I made that!” It’s such a wonderful feeling to see what you can accomplish with just a few basic supplies and a little guidance.
And that’s exactly what this class is all about!
Two Fall Cards You’ll Be Proud to Make
We’ll be making two different fall cards using the Simply Leaves Stamp Set and coordinating Simple Leaf Punch.
Our first card features a beautiful fall leaf against a textured background. It’s a great way to discover how a little texture and a few simple layers can make a card look extra special.
For our second card, we’ll use several colorful leaves to make a completely different design. I love how the colors work together, and you’ll see how easy it is to arrange stamped and punched images to make a lovely card.
Both cards are simple enough for beginners, but pretty enough that you’ll be excited to send them to someone special!
What Will You Learn?
We’ll take our time learning some of the basics of card making, including:
- How to stamp clean, crisp images
- How to care for your stamps and ink pads
- How to use a paper trimmer to cut cardstock
- Different types of adhesives and when to use them
- How to put everything together to make a finished card
Everything will be provided, so you don’t need to bring any supplies or have any previous stamping experience.
