Aloha Stampers!
I needed to make a special card to congratulate one of my Island Style Stampers Team Members on promoting to Silver Elite! Mary Green is a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from Redmond, OR. She offers classes that have become very popular and she has a reputation for adding special touches to her classes.
I needed to get some SILVER onto this card! I started out by heat embossing the protea in silver, and adding a bit of Flower Garden Foils.
I’m not sure if this qualifies as a fun fold – it’s so simple. I’ve basically just cut 1 1/4″ off of one side. The silver foil piece is cut 5 1/4″ x 1″.
The technique is called EMBOSS RESIST. I’ve heat embossed the silver flowers then used Blending Brushes to sponge Pretty in Pink and Lemon Lolly ink over it.
The “Celebrate” is a retired die (Wanted to Say), perfect for this card. I tend to sell all my retired sets, so I was very happy when I found this tucked away!
