ICS Blog Hop – Farewell 2022-2024 In Colors

Welcome to the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop where today our theme will be Farewell to 2022-2024 In Colors.

I decided to make a card using all the retiring In Colors because I love them all!  My favorite has to be Orchid Oasis!

The scenery part of my card was created using Hills of Tuscany stamp set, which will be retiring at the end of this month.  The surfboard, bird, and sentiment are from Beach Day.  The bundle (with 10% off) will be gone, but you’ll still be able to purchase the stamps & dies separately.  Yay!

To make this card, I cut a square from Stylish Shapes to create a stencil. Then I stamped in the center (the cut-out square), spritzing a little water on my stamp before placing it on the paper. I used Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the water and the sun, and to help blend the water a bit.

When I was done stamping, I ran it through the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I cut a 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ square out of Starry Sky cardstock, then used the square die from Stylish Shapes to make a frame.

Here are the dimensions for this Card:

• Thick Basic White: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
• Orchid Oasis: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
• Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″ and scraps
