Aloha and welcome to our Island Style Stampers Blog Hop! My daughter, Malia, and I would love for you to visit each of our blogs to gather inspiration and share your thoughts.
Our theme this month is Homemade for the Holidays!
This little jar is just too cute—and there are so many fun ways you can use it. For today’s project, I created this card to tuck into a box of my mom’s Scandinavian cookies.
These cookies were my favorite Christmas treat growing up. I have such sweet memories of making them with my mom—pressing my thumb into each cookie and adding a spoonful of jam to the center. 💕 Those simple moments in the kitchen are some of my most cherished holiday memories, and this card felt like the perfect way to share a little bit of that homemade holiday cheer.
I’ll also be sharing the recipe for my mom’s Scandinavian cookies at the end of this post, in case you’d like to add a little homemade sweetness to your own holiday traditions. 💕
This card is also a shaker card, which makes it even more fun! I love how the little stars move around inside the jar—it’s like a tiny jar full of holiday magic. Shaker cards are such a great way to add a bit of interactive joy, especially for holiday projects.
One more fun detail—keep an eye on the envelope! I used the new Addressed to You stamp set (167010), available to order January 6, to dress it up. It’s perfect for adding those extra-special touches that make happy mail even happier.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and sharing a bit of your time with me. I hope this Homemade for the Holidays project inspires you to add a personal, heartfelt touch to your own handmade cards this season.
