Aloha Stampers!
Today I have a pretty sympathy card to share with you using Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper. I’ll show you a great technique that really steps up your card! And it’s so simple!
I’m starting with a sheet of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (a favorite of mine!). Using Deckled Rectangle Dies, I’ve cut a large piece (~5 1/4″ x 3 3/4″). Then I use a die that’s ~3 1/2″ x 2 1/4″ to cut out a rectangle from the center. I know… scary! But you’re fine! Just make a mat with Petunia Pop cardstock and pop that up over the “hole” using Dimensionals. Before I stuck mine down, I tied some White Baker’s Twine around it.
Here are the dimensions for this card:
- Thick Basic White: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4
- Petunia Pop: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and 2 3/8″ x 3 3/4″
- Thoughtful Journey DSP: 1 sheet (6″ x 6″)
