I’m finally finishing up an old project: An ALPHABET BOOK! I’m making this fun project for my grandchildren, and hope this will inspire you to make your own!
You’ll need to start with one of our Basic Black Albums and order 6″ X 8″ page protectors. I’m using an old Stampin’ Up! album that came with 8″ x 8″ page protectors. Some of the products I’ll be using have retired, but I’m sure you’ll be able to come up with some cute ideas!
U is for UNICORN
I just LOVE having a ton of supplies in my Craft Room!! Especially when it comes to projects like this! Here are a few of the products I’ve used:
- Shining Brightly DSP (sold out)
- Ombre Shimmer Paper (look for Specialty Papers in the Annual Catalog page 127)
- Leave a Little Sparkle (retired)
- Metallics Emboss Powder (155555) & Versamark Ink (102283)
- Stampin’ Blends & Wink of Stella (141897)
V is for VOLCANO
The volcano was so much fun to make!! It all started with this retired Designer Series Paper. I cut out a piece of cardstock to make the volcano stand out, then used a Decorative Mask to add some Embossing Paste! At first I used white paste, but it wasn’t the look I wanted. So I added a drop of Poppy Parade reinker, and later, Daffodil Delight, and stirred it into the paste. Pretty cool, huh?!
I had these Patchwork Pieces laying there on my desk. What fun!! They work really well as flames coming out of the volcano!
I added a bunch of trees from an old Christmas Die set to cover up the bottom of my volcano that was just cut straight.
What’s your favorite so far? For me, it’s between the QUEEN and this VOLCANO!
