Aloha and welcome to another edition of the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Twenty of my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator friends are joining me in this worldwide blog that stretches all the way from New Zealand to Hawaii across twelve different time zones.
The general theme for this month is “It’s a Wonderful Day in the Neighborhood”. I’ve decided to focus on the beautiful place that I live: Maui.
Maui is surrounded by palm trees and I think we have the best beaches ever! Fine sand, clear water, pretty fish & coral, and gorgeous sunsets. My birthday is this month and you can bet I’ll be spending it on the beach.
This card was fun and simple to make. I stamped the image using Memento Ink then sponged on color using Blending Brushes and Sponge Daubers. And can you see the sun sparkling? Just a touch of Wink of Stella.
I hope this project has inspired you to do some stamping and send out some Happy Mail!
Be sure to keep hopping along to see more great ideas from around the world. Just click the daisy below, or scroll down the list of names because you don’t want to miss any.
Next up is the talented Jan Clothier from New Zealand.

Enjoy your walks along the beach for your birthday month, Cheryl! Love the card you created with all the sponging! The touch of Stella on the sun was brilliant! x
Thanks Angie. I love the way you encourage me to celebrate all month!
A wonderful place full of inspiration. So peaceful in Hawaii. Love how you captured a bit of the gorgeous views with your project.
Thank you, Wendy!
Beautiful, Cheryl! I love the beach and I’ve been lucky enough to holiday in Hawaii – although not on Maui. It is a lovely place to be. 🙂
Thanks so much, Jan! Next visit you need to come to Maui (best beaches!!)
Ah, I understand. When you live by the ocean like you, you always want to look at it and get lost! aaah, it gives me a certain nostalgia for your post. I suddenly miss my native Mediterranean very much! Thank you for your beautiful card and happy birthday to you! Xx
Thanks Aurelie. I’m sure the Mediterranean is beautiful as well!
Oh my Cheryl, please save me a sun lounger. I earned the Maui Incentive Trip but sadly never made it further than my Craft Desk and a Zoom call celebration. What a fabulous place to live and a beautiful card to represent it also. You’re one lucky lady xx
Oh, I’m so sorry you couldn’t make it over here. Consider your lounger saved, along with a fun pineapple drink & little umbrella. I’ll join you!!
Beautiful card Cheryl – enjoy your birthday xx
