Aloha and welcome to another edition of the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Twenty of my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator friends are joining me in this worldwide blog that stretches all the way from New Zealand to Hawaii across twelve different time zones.
Today’s hop will be a Monochromic Rainbow Challenge! How fun! We’ve all been assigned different colors of the rainbow and you’ll see the colors change as you hop around the world! I think we’re all excited to see how this turns out!
I’m in Hawaii, the first (or am I the last??) time zone, and RED is my color. Here’s what I came up with:
Monochrome Rainbow Challenge
I started by watercoloring using a few “reds”- Real Red, Poppy Parade, Cherry Cobbler, and Petal Pink. Watercoloring turns out so well when you start with Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and use Water Painters.
When it was completely dry, I heat embossed the sunflower using white embossing powder.
Can you spot a few new products?!!
Check out that gorgeous pink just below the top layer. That’s Polished Pink, a new In Color! Did you notice my tag? That’s from a new set of dies- Tailor Made Tags, a set with 10 dies. You’ll be able to order these new items starting on May 4th, unless you’re a demonstrator. Lucky us!
I did squirt out a little Wink of Stella to make my watercoloring sparkle. Can you see it?
I hope this project has inspired you to do some stamping!
Be sure to keep hopping along to see a rainbow of ideas from around the world. Just click the daisy below, or scroll down the list of names because you don’t want to miss any.
