Aloha and welcome to another edition of the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Twenty of my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator friends are joining me in this worldwide blog that stretches all the way from New Zealand to Hawaii across twelve different time zones.
Today our theme is: Technique Challenge!
I chose my favorite technique: Heat Embossing. Heat embossing adds a luxurious, raised texture to your projects, making them perfect for special occasions like weddings.
I thought it would be fun to emboss on Designer Series Paper. I chose Nature’s Sweetness DSP with a gold foiled grid.
The gold embossing truly shines on the tin cans, adding an elegant touch to a whimsical detail! I loved the idea of creating a sophisticated card with a playful element, like those classic “Just Married” tin cans.
Here are the dimensions for this card:
-
Thick Basic White: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4
-
Highland Heather: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 & scraps
-
Nature’s Sweetness DSP: 3 3/4 x 5
-
Scraps: Gorgeous Grape & Basic White
The Classic Wedding stamp set will help you craft a card that’s simple yet sophisticated—a keepsake-worthy creation for any bride and groom!
I hope this project has inspired you to do some stamping!

Thanks so much!
What a perfect wedding card! I never think to emboss on Designer Series Paper but will definitely be trying this! Beautiful!
I forget about that, too! But it can work really well on the right paper. Thanks for your comment!
Heat embossing is just such a magical technique! Lovely card. 🙂
It really is! Thanks Jan!
