I’m getting a head start on Christmas cards! This is one of the cards we’ll be making at my Christmas in September Class on Monday, September 21, from 10 am–1 pm at my home in Haiku.
This card is really quite simple, but there are a couple of things that make it special.
First, I used Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper (retired) and folded the card so that you can see both sides of the Designer Series Paper. I love the soft, unexpected Christmas colors in this paper!
But my favorite part is the shiny silver greeting.
A Little Hot Foil Sparkle
For the “’Tis the Season” greeting, I used the new Stampin’ Hot Foil System along with the Magical Christmas Hot Foil Dies and Silver Foil.
The Magical Christmas Hot Foil Dies are such a fun set because you get seven different sentiments, along with a few candy canes and stars. I also used the little candy canes from the set to add a couple of extra Christmas touches to my card.
The silver foil is even prettier in person—you really need to see that shine!
CARD INSTRUCTIONS
- Barely Blush: 5 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ (5 1/4″ edge on top)
- Whimsy & Wonder DSP (retired): 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
- Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)

🌺 Crafty Tip: After you’ve added the foil to your cardstock, use the little squares on the foiled image as guides when lining up the coordinating die. They’ll help you position the die correctly before running it through your die-cutting machine.

It feels a little early to be making Christmas cards, but I know how quickly the holidays sneak up on us!
