Aloha Stampers!
I’ve been getting into sewing lately, volunteering at the Sewing Hui of Maui.
This group contributes so many different beautiful items to Maui… Costumes for performing arts, pillowcases and blankets for Maui Wildfire Relief, masks during Covid, harvest aprons and sewing kits for our keiki, walker & wheelchair bags for our kupuna. You get the idea!
They are such a creative group and they want me to have a class at the studio. Here’s the first card I came up with:
Here are the dimensions for this card:
- Thick Basic White: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4
- Mossy Meadow: 5 1/4 X 4
- Gardenlane Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4″ x 2
- Basic White: ~4 x 2 3/4 (cut using Scalloped Contours Dies)
- Scraps of Pool Party, Garden Green, Soft Sea Foam, & Silver Foil
Thinking about getting this stamp set? Here’s another cute example:
If you like to sew, consider volunteering at the Sewing Hui! We often have volunteers from the mainland that join us, too!
My first class at that location (in Haiku, Maui) will be April 23rd from 1pm – 3pm (after the 9am sewing session & lunch).
