Welcome to the DIY Calendar Blog Hop! This month I’m sharing my September calendar page featuring one of my favorite characters—Eeyore.
I’ve always loved Winnie the Pooh, and I have a soft spot for Eeyore. He always seems like he could use a little cheering up! That’s why I thought the sentiment “It never hurts to keep looking up” was just perfect for him.
For my calendar, I used the Sweet Old Friends Bundle for Eeyore and the Sweet Words & Labels Stamp Set for the sentiment. I love the little bow on his tail—and those two tiny butterflies fluttering above him seem to be doing their best to brighten his day.
A Little Encouragement
One of the things I enjoy about making these calendars is choosing an image and sentiment that set the mood for the month. This one is a sweet little reminder that even when things aren’t going quite the way we’d like, it never hurts to keep looking up.
And really, who better to remind us of that than Eeyore?
🌺 Crafty Tip: Try stamping a tiny image repeatedly in a very light ink to make your own subtle background. It adds interest without competing with your focal image. It’s also a great way to get more use from those tiny stamps we sometimes overlook!
