Aloha and welcome to another edition of the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Twenty of my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator friends are joining me in this worldwide blog that stretches all the way from New Zealand to Hawaii across twelve different time zones.
The general theme for this month is “3D Projects”! I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!
I love making cards. But it’s even more fun to make a 3D Project!! Today I’ll be showing you a special card I’m making for Mom. Mom’s been in the hospital for almost a month and was transferred to a nursing home on Friday. I wanted to make a card that she could set on her bedside to remind her of me & how much I miss her.
Hydrangea Haven Card in a Box
Mom loves hydrangeas and these beautiful blues and purples remind me of her.
I’ve pulled out a bunch of my favorite stamp sets and dies to help me with this fun project! If you’d like to try this project at home, you’ll find all supplies listed at the very bottom of this post.
Card in a Box
Did you know this card lies flat for mailing? You do need to make a special envelope to match the size.
A Card in a Box is my FAVORITE FUN FOLD! Click here to see more examples!

That’s a really pretty card-in-a-box. The paper is so glorious on its own that you don’t need too much on the inside, so the bird on a branch is perfect.
Cheryl says
Thank you, Jan! I agree, I didn’t need to add much because the paper is so pretty by itself. It’s hard to stop, though, with these Card In a Boxes!!

It’s really not too bad- you just need to follow directions to make the box. You should give it a try!
