KINDRED GREETINGS (AUGUST 2026 PAPER PUMPKIN)
This month’s kit comes with supplies to make 9 cards: 3 each of 3 designs.
One of my favorite things about Paper Pumpkin is discovering different ways to use the pieces that come in the kit. For my alternate card, I turned one of those pieces into a tool!
Use the Laser-Cut Piece as a Stencil
The kit includes a beautiful laser-cut leaf piece, and instead of simply adding it to my card, I used it as a stencil.
Using Blending Brushes, I blended Cloud Cover and Lost Lagoon ink over the laser-cut piece to make the soft leafy background. It was really easy, and I love how the two colors blend together.
The leafy branch on the front is also from the Kindred Greetings kit. I like how it adds dimension while repeating the leaves in the stenciled background.
🌺 Crafty Tip: Before throwing away any leftover or negative pieces from a kit, take another look! Die cuts and laser-cut pieces can make wonderful stencils and masks—and it’s a great way to get even more from supplies you already have.
